Keep him only if he wants to stay.... i'm a firm believer if a players heart is not in it, get rid. Simple as!!!
Top notch debating on the sess yes/no thread. Needs to be broken down i feel, as i said my bad, was **** but got us all talking So...
Well I will start it off he is a valuable member of our squad and will be used as and when fit keep at all costs
I've gone for ten mil, can't turn that down but I don't think anyone will bid that, so it's as good as keep for me.
I think (educated guess) that we could replace him for 8-10. He's unbelievable on his day but age isn't on his side. Nor is consistancy. I would however be sad to see him go.
You don't get your car done up and sell the ****ing engine. If we sign every player expected, Sess will STILL be the best player at the club. No sale.
Keep keep and keep again. Without doubt a high calibre player, has premier league experience that we will need at some point and is the most skillfull player ive ever seen in the red and white!
Fit, motivated, surrounded with quality and drilled with how PDC wants us to play and watch sess play better than we have seen him yet. He is a top player man. We shouldnt let him go, however, if paulo decides he doesnt fit the system then i would reluctantly say good bye and goid luck . but i would be gutted to see him go!
I know it was behind closed doors but 5 goals in half an hour tells me he's signed up to the vision and wants to stay. I think it was a don't sell me plea. I reckon the bloke is going to excel this pre season.
I don't buy this fit a system thing mate, if a player has unique match winning qualities, and remember, we are Sunderland, we ain't buying Messi's & Ronaldo's, you keep him. He will grow with the increased quality around him, and in a free role he can torment ANY team. Giaccherini cannot replace Sess, he is a top, top player, but he doesn't have that magic, that makes something happen magic that Sess has. We should have went for Adam Maher, only then would I have contemplated a Sess sale, instead he moved within Holland to PSV and his next transfer will be in excess of £20million. The only player I can think of in Sess ability range that could be bought close to £10million is Ben Arfa, and that ain't never gonna happen. For me as well, the 'Sess to be sold ' bollocks has gone away, as his agent has shut up, as his client sees that there may be summat happening here. We need Sess here, and we need to support the lad and draw his best, consistently. If we do, with Giacc, a reborn AJ and great CM options, we can do some damage.
