It would be great to see City do a Swansea and take the Prem by storm, but in all honesty I doubt we have enough skill to keep the ball for long periods against top opposition and out-Arsenal Arsenal.

I would also be a bit worried if we had a similar boom and bust season to 2008/9 which sapped the confidence out of the team for the next season.

Personally I'm hoping we have a modest start, but gradually establish ourselves as a team that's very hard to beat. I hope the KC becomes a fortress where no opposition wants to visit.
Then I would like to see the confidence grow in the team from this strong foundation and a few players begin to express themselves more and show their quality.

By the end of the season it would be great to have a comfortable mid-table finish, a few stars and a team that improved steadily and consistently to the extent that everyone would be optimistic about our chances of staying in the EPL long term.

Don't care as long as we stay up. I would be more than happy if we did a Stoke.

That we all stick together, fans, manager, owners. We keep Brucey however we do, no idiots calling for his head. Or my personal hate-"he's tactically inept".

A team full of convicted rapists, drink drivers, thugs, tax thieves and just general criminals, managed by a vicar with a devout Muslim owner.

Bruce is tactically inept, and would make a fantastic target for the real hustle.

£8m for Connor Wickham snigger snigger snigger.

I think we need to go for the Barcelona approach from the start. We should look to dominate teams and win the league. Oh and sign Messi.

One called Hull City, and whose nickname is the Tigers, and who run out to 'Tiger Rag'.

One who stays up or if it goes down, goes down with dignity, fighting spirit and heads held high, having bloodied the noses of the likes of Gerrard, Cazorla and YaYa Toure.

A team whose fans are not mouth-breathers with flasks or 'footy customers', but a solid knowledgeable witty rumbustious crowd. A team whose fans don't mindlessly repeat other clubs' chants.

A club with a mature and humble style, not forever sulking in rows with landlords, and who play in a well-kept packed stadium. A club that is envied not just for its status among the elite, but also for it's uniqueness and innovative style.

You should go and say that to the players before the game.

I would like to beat our highest ever finish of 4th from bottom and get to a cup semi final and at least one win away at either Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool and Chester called in to the England squad.

I hope we change our name to Hull Tigers, piss off most of our fans and raise **** all in extra income from Asia.

While also doing half decent on the pitch, where things seem to be falling into place nicely.

Anything less than a top three finish and winning at least one cup should be deemed as unacceptable. We should be playing like Bayern and while spending less than £15m on three quality signings to bolster our, already, top 4 potential team. The only teams that should be able to take points of us should be the two Manchester clubs. We should be beating most teams by three or four goals playing expansive, free flowing football while picking up less than 10 bookings a season.

That's what I want to see.

I just want to be able to drink from my flask without having to keep getting up to watch as the ball in picked up by the goalie from the back of the net every ten minutes.
I want to be able to have at least two players on the pitch who I can constantly slate as not good enough.
I want there to be plenty of back passes, just so I can shout "forward".
I want no I demand that I can always sit with my elbows sticking into my neighbour.
I require Steve Bruce to understand that we must always beat every opponent by at least one goal in order to win a game, it's something I always say to all around me "come on Bruce we need to score".

Posted on behalf of the old git who sits next to me.
