Duncan is a child still in footballing terms, if we signed him he couldn't even be concidered for the first team squad imo
I dont get all the negativity regarding this bloke, yes he has had his injury problems, but so have many others who play in the helter skelter of todays premiership midfield battles. Catts is another who on his day drives the team on but has his injury problems, what Huddlestone dosen't have is Catts inability to time a decent tackle and a reputation with referees who can't get their cards out quick enough for Catts. Huddlestone has played for England, has played a decent amount of games for Spurs and can pick a pass which Catts can't, he can also shoot form distance which is also an improvment on what we have now. Don't get me wrong I'm not overjoyed with the thoughts of him signing but do think he can do a job for us right now unlike some of our recent signings who are a little on the young side and may need time too bed in, but as said in another thread £5mill against £12.5mill in Wanyama, then its chicken feed for a proven premiership midfielder who unlike some of our signings in recent seasons is not coming in from a relegated club. Just my opinion.
I personally reckon he'd be awesome for us, apart from his injury record: - good value for a young potential England international - excellent range of passing (we've been crying out for a ball playing midfielder to control the tempo for years) - can chip in with a goal, especially shots from distance - rediculous hair to rival colo's!
The spurs fans say his is very slow and has a turning circle that makes bramble seem like a dinky toy.
Didn't we bid around 5m for him but Inter wanted 7m? if that is true then I wouldn't think we pay that much for a player who wouldn't be concidered for the first team.
OK, just your username minus the sandancer bit and added shoplifters is very reminiscent of one of their 'fine songs'.. Nee problem, enjoy the forum..
Johnny Marr was the lad Sid, Morrisey just made it look colourful in a Gladiola kind of way but to his credit, the voice matched the music and was very original..
