If we get bowled out in an hours time it would make for a nervy little batting session for Aus this evening.

I'm not saying anything about Bell's knock. I put the hex on Pietersen and Cook that way. But he knows what he has to do.

    Yes sir.

Ireland drew with the Netherlands the other day to secure a place at the World Cup. It's getting tougher with the promising talent defecting to England. I take the piss on here about Morgan being a traitor but who can blame him really? A steady central contract and the chance of playing test cricket.

I was going to say that I'll probably jinx him. He's going to get out some time unless he carries his bat. It has been impressive. In days gone by he'd be in the pavilion already. This old hawkeye job by isn't all bad.

    Nice one mate <cheers>

Well done Ireland for qualifying for the world cup....time for revenge maybe after you lot surprised us last time? <whistle>

As for Morgan, I really can't understand how Root or more likely, Bairstow, get picked before him. He's a quality Ian Bell-like batsman.

To me he seems to have been a bit shakey in the last few ODIs

    Stopmeandslapme hates Morgan.

I would have thought he'd be more valuable than Compton or Bairstow.

If I was a selector I'd open with Trott and keep Bell at 3.

They are high on root so put him at 5 with Morgan at 6.

Yeah but he's come in at awkward times in battling positions. You can almost give him a bye for it.

Kieswetter will get a bye and he isn't half the keeper Prior is.

He often comes in with the pressure on, Jacky. He reminds me of Alan Lamb, he's great with the little sweeps, paddle shots and cuts.

I meant Jos Buttler rather than Kieswetter. Neither of whom are as good as Prior.

221 runs ahead, still four wickets left. 300 would be great.

Anyone on here played the game? I did as a youngster, opening batsman, difficult position.

He'd be in the pavilion and his bat'd be thru the window!

Nah. ****ed about in the nets a lot and had myself down as a bit of a spinner. One of my best mates lived beside a cricket ground as a kid so I'd watch it loads.

Yup. He deserves it as he's gotten more than his fair share of **** decisions even with the benefit of tv replays.

I don't hate Morgan just don't think he should be playing for England for two reasons:
    1. He's not English
    2. He's not good enough

    1. That doesn't seem to trouble you with anyone else.
    2. In my opinion he is as worthy of a spot as many of those who have been tried and are being tried.

Hate is a strong word. I use it a lot but I'm the best in the universe at hyperbole.

    I think I would.

Shocking umpiring. Never play poker with Stewart Broad.
