The Independent Police Complaints Commission have today announced that they have discovered a further 55 altered/ammended statements http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-23290122
I don't doubt they'll find a load more too. Dirty scumbags should be hung...instead we get the honour of paying their big fat pensions.
The deeper they dig the more they'll find, I suppose. Sadly, nothing changes much. Many of the guilty amongst the police, politicians and the press remain defiant about their roles- and we still see similar corruption everywhere to this day.
They denied this happened for years - but when the final analysis is arrived at their defence will be that Lord Taylor told them they could do it. And, if truth be told, the saintly Lord Taylor to some degree did, and he's no longer around to explain the nuances of what he meant by 'tidying up' the statements. Still, if it wasn't so sickening you could laugh at Duckenfield's defiance that the Panel is biased towards the families. I wonder how many crooks he put away over the years who, faced with overwhelming evidence, just cried "It's all biased against me!".
The Independent is running the same story http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...coverup-worse-than-first-thought-8706527.html You can't help but feel the perpetrators of this crime -the police- will escape justice like they always seem to do
