Just seen Classical Music by NobbysTeeth on the board.Shouldnt it read Classical Music WITH NobbysTeeth! I thank yow!
Aaron Copland ; "Appalachian Spring " is probably the classical piece I most often return to ; ****ing bangin` tune
Yes, Iâve always preferred classical music to anything else. To try to decide on a favourite composer, however, is virtually impossible - these things change all the time, entirely dependent on mood. It usually fluctates somewhere between Bach, Palestrina, Mozart, Pergolesi and Faure, amongst others, with Locatelli, Vivaldi and Haydn occasionally thrown into the mix. Impossible. To pick a favourite piece is similarly impossible, although this one from Mozart would certainly get a look in (Celtic fans may also appreciate the fact that it starts with the words âhail, hailâ - I'm just saying): Also, for no particular reason (other than the fact Iâm already here posting links), here is the music that forms the basis of the Championâs League theme tune. A classic. Itâs magic the way the voices explode into it......
It's a good one, right enough, although if we're talking Vivaldi - someone has to - then I'd probably prefer this:
I don't know about Cyclonic, Tina, but the wee guy playing the banjo in this clip is almost certainly from Ayrshire (or Shettleston, perhaps). Stick him in some white leisure wear and a cap and youâre pretty much looking at an identikit of the average west of Scotland ned. Great guy. Iâd love to see him hanging about the end of my street every night.
Not yet, Sword, thanks for asking. I ran into a minor problem (I’m not sure if this is because I’m using a Mac) and need my wife to fix it. She’s computer literate, whereas I get short of breath simply trying to turn the thing on. I reckon it’ll be sorted this evening, though, when she finally gets back from work (the inconsiderate swine).
I lived in Ayrshire for a few years and I've never seen so many people with missing body parts. Arms, legs, chins, ears etc. Bunch of mutants!
