    Good Morning Folks,

Leeds are favourites to sign Manchester City Reece Wabara. The defender has attracted interest from a number of clubs this summer, including three of the Whites' Championship rivals - Wigan Athletic, Doncaster Rovers and Millwall.

Wabara made his first-team debut for City against Bolton Wanderers in the final Premier League game of the 2010/11 season, but he has not made another appearance since then.

It is nice to see that Leeds are investing in the future, but I'm not sure Wabara is the right signing for us!!!!

There is not much else going on folks, so, over to you....

    Morning Elland.
Weve made it at last so. Glad to see were signing Manchester City. Any idea what were paying for them? Do they get our squad or where do they go?

Good morning fellow posters from a sunny BardseyIf we sign this boy then its odds on that Byram we be sold for the benefit of the future of the board .I also think that we will sell Ross and Pugh some posters say nobody will buy him I say we will get 250k for him others will be allowed to leave either as swaps which I have intimated or loaned out as they have no future under BM .
tHE ONES looking over their shoulders are Tonge Pearce Drury Kenny you could tell with his body language at Farsley,Hall and possibly White lets wait and see

    Morning chaps :emoticon-0103-cool:

Due to the way Bates shut down our academy and all our staff went to Man City to run theirs, its nice that we get chance to get one of their kids. However whatever happened to the 2 kids bates got £1m for in compensation from City for poaching our kids. Those 2 have obviously not broken through, is this lad one of them. Whatever happened to Luke Garbutt another £1m kid who went to Everton, a team with no cash but have still not used young Luke .... Many kids have huge price tags attached to them but never make it, so if this is true and we do land him, lets hope he's going to be good ....

Good Morning, if we sell Byram it will be sad, no idea about the Man C lad (though the rest of the squad would be a useful addition ;) )

I am bored with the image at the top of the LUFC page. We need some ideas for a replacement, its clear from the image someone made yesterday of Browneeeeeh that the talent exists in our posters here, just need some direction. Personally I'd like a row of Kenneth Bates across the top of the screen, a medley of different endearing images to remeber our saviour in all his various attractive forms - but I accept that may be a minority view. Any other ideas?

While I am asking questions, am I the only one who plays "guess the Shako" on this board? As in what time in the afternoon will his first post be? We could run a sweep,. my guess today is 1.31pm. Can anyone get closer than that? (My legal team have advised me to clarify : not for a moment does this question seek to imply said Shako gets legless every night and never surfaces before lunch time).

A more serious question. Some bird was on the radio on the way in to work, about womens football and all the top teams supporting their equivalent ladies team, and noting scum are the exception. Is anyone nolligable in this area? I seem to recall our saviour (the real one, not browneeh) pulled the plug on support to Leeds ladies. Is that right, whats the current position, what do good clubs do? Personally I think we should be giving max support. Views? Anyone know anything about this?

    Morning all <ok>

I've heard the Man City kids name mentioned a couple of times in general, but I don't know anything about his ability. Usually I'd be worried about someone who hasn't broken through in 2 or 3 seasons, but we all know its far too common for players to collect a wage for not playing over at Man City!

Glad you liked my browney pic <cheers> I made a new banner quite a bit back now which elland sent over to the guys who run the site, they've just not changed it yet! No Bates on there though I'm afraid!

Morning all. As some fans have spent so much over the last few years, a new montage to include BMD giving the fans a bit back for a round wouldn't be too bad an idea.

Ladies football and Leeds Utd - yes Bates pulled the plug, but not wanting to be seen as a sexist, I can say that ladies football is boring, lacks skill, pace and goals. The latest tournament hasn't seen a match won or lost so far ffs. The game is taken seriously in USA and Sweden and is slowly catching on over here, but its not for me. Yes its nice to see the odd pretty face and rippling breasts (Slow mo replays) but whats good about watching a ladie goaly getting beat from 40-yards by a miss kick, because the goalie's not agile.

Will probably take some flak for this but its ****, and our national ladies team wouldn't beat a mens sunday league team

Not bad, just need to replace that pic of BB in the middle with one of KB holding up two fingers at the morons, and it would be great.

Actually, what would be good would be a montage of a few images, love the idea of the one showing BM buying a round of drinks, statue of Bremner is fine, plus a couple more I can't think of

I confess that you have spotted part of my interest.

On current quality, that may be so, but so what..... it can change, and will. Plenty of examples (Olympics, Wimbledon) of women being worth watching (for the sporting prowess, I mean ;) ) - as ytou point out, other countries are taking it seriously, and so should we. In any case, I am not on about International level, I am thinking it would be good for the city of Leeds (and LUFC, if closely alligned) to have one of the top women's teams.

I have no intention of ever coming across OLOF, Mighty <laugh>

I was not referring to the delightful ladies (cough) supporting Millwall, who I have had the pleasure to encounter at close quarters - one of them was generous enough to throw a coin in my direction, the last time I visited - more a question whether there's a ladies team associated with your great club?

2020 the sad thing is that our girls are now called Leeds Carnegie, which is suppose is down to the sports college in headingley. They were attached and run by Leeds Utd and although the girls game doesn't interest me, the original idea does and it would be great for the city too.

There was a lot of talk about Leeds utd, Leeds Rhino's, Leeds carnegie RU and Leeds utd ladies and being part of the same sporting company, which would be unique in the UK, but not uncommen elsewhere where it works for the benefit of the city and its businesses. Bates greed put paid to that as he pissed off a guy called Gary Etherington

I went to watch Womens Rugby League World Cup last night and the French ladies brought more away fans than Millwall brought to Leeds
