He won't get a word in edgeways as H&J can't stop laughing at their own ****e jokes. What a pair of bellends those pair are.
Not keen on Jacobs but hawksby I quite like. Anyone know what Quinny said? It was just about the fixtures anyways so maybe never discussed us?
Got to say it has saddened me listening to Quinn of late. I dont know whether he's just trying to hard to be neutral or we were just a rich man's project all along.
That kind of grips my **** too..I hate knocking the bloke but one of his main reasons for leaving Sunderland was to spend more time with his family in Ireland. Yet he takes a job with Sky...Working in England???
Being with sky he's gonna be neutral, god knows he's got more dignity to be biased enough again any club. I'm sure SNQ had plans for the future and is probably upset that things have taken such a turn from measures he put in place, or people he employed or worked with at the club. Our future isn't with SNQ anymore sadly, but his past actions for us on and off the field can never be tarnished, all the best to him I say.
That excuse was a cop out from the start in my opinion He was removed from his post as chairman coz he was 100% in his backing of Bruce - who failed
I know what your saying mate but to me it was him who saved Sunderland. Put his heart & soul into the club, appointed Keane who took us back to the Premier league & convinced the Drumaville to come in. Even gave his money from his testimonial to build that children's centre. Wish there was more like him & the world would be a better place.
SNQ would have to be the best single thing that has happened to SAFC in the past 40 years, I suspect that without him, we could be in the same position as our friends(not really) at Coventry City. I guess that things didn't end up the way he planned but we are only where we are now because of him and the passion that he showed for our club....I for one will never hear a bad word said about the man.
Quinn is commentating how many games per week for Sky? He is probably 80% of his time in Ireland. He had to take some kind of job, as Irelands economy went tits up. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport...on-di-canio-s-sunderland-revolution-1-5847986 NIALL Quinn says Paolo Di Canio MUST have a united dressing room if Sunderland are to prosper next season. The ex-Black Cats chairman has watched with interest as the Italian head coach has favoured revolution rather than evolution at the Stadium of Light this close season. But the Irishman says it is absolutely vital Di Canio creates a new team spirit to go with the new team of players. Looking ahead to the new season, Quinn said: “Paolo came in and did the job he was asked to, which was keeping the club in the Premier League. “Now he’s going about the job of putting his own stamp on the club, and he’s not wasting any time doing it. “He’s making massive changes on and off the pitch, and already the club is pretty much unrecognisable from the one I left not too long ago. “It’s a high-risk strategy, but it’s not unlike what Roy Keane did during my time at the club, which was to try and make a positive, no-nonsense impact from the start. “And that worked for Roy. It helped get us up from the bottom of the Championship, (and) it helped get us promoted and helped keep us there. “But it had gone wrong by the end, and Paolo has to look to avoid that. “It is so important to carry the dressing room with you in what you are trying to do. “I’m sure he knows that, and I imagine that a lot of what Paolo and his staff are working on now is building that camaraderie, trying to get a sense of togetherness and bonding during close season. “It’s so important that you do that, because that’s the danger when you make sweeping changes, you also have to work hard to make sure everyone feels part of it and everyone’s pulling together.” Quinn was speaking after the release of yesterday’s televised fixtures by Sky Sports, several of which he will be commentating on for the satellite station. Sunderland’s away trip to Crystal Palace will be the first of five fixtures televised by Sky followed by home games involving Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle. He said: “When I first got involved with the club as chairman, we used to dream of Sunderland regularly having fantastic fixtures like these, (and) of the club playing regularly in the Premier League. “That was the aim, and it’s fantastic that we have that and have done for a number of seasons now. “It’s a great thing for Sunderland supporters to look forward to. “You get the feeling that it’s going to be some season for Sunderland one way or another. “And with Paolo, the club’s got a great character who is going to give everything and will certainly make headlines. “We have to remember that he’s a young coach and still learning, and maybe he learned a few lessons from last season because there was plenty going on in those last seven games. “But you can’t underestimate the importance of unity in the dressing room.”
Nothing against Quinny, the blokes a legend and I know he's just doing his job. But we need to understand he's no longer in the know about SAFC. From all accounts from players and PDC, the squad are embracing his methods and we have a happy squad. He's well and truly in Sky mode now and it shows by the sheer amount mindless thoughtless cliches used in that article. Never forget what he's done but we have to realise what he is now. He's a sports journalist. Time to start taking his views with a pinch of salt and stop holding it against him. He is what he is. Just another 'Expert' finding an easy way to pay the bills. Just leave him to it I say
