Blackburns summer clearout is taking shape. Ruban Rochina is being loaned out to La Liga new boys Elche. Yesterday released player Martin Olssen signed for Norwich City.

SSN now confirm Victor Wanyama is a Southampton player. Not sure he is worth anywhere near the fee paid for him. £12m reported.

Reading now confirm that Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new contract for the Royals.

£12m for Wanyama is ridiculous. Celtic have ripped off Southampton good and proper.

Could not agree more. Some truely awful business has been done by a few of our rivals.

We may know tomorrow IF Tom Ince has said yes to Cardiff City ? If he does thats £8m and over £15m spent on 2 players.

Just seen that Rooney is returning to England from Man Utd's pre-season tour of Asia.

Is it injury or maybe a smokescreen for a transfer that has been seemingly inevitable?

(To be fair, it probably is just injury)

bad prices but good players, which is not too bad i suppose in terms of playing, we might need to push the boat out by another 1m to buy a decent forward but i doubt we will

I am still thinking that we shall splash some cash at some point on at least One striker.

I meant to put that in, but somehow missed it <doh>

It does seem a bit coincidental considering all these links away from Old Trafford though.

Probably nothing now I've said all this

Thats what they want you to think.....

Sending the mrs for the season cards tomorrow, told her to look out for a fat bald scouser. If she see's one and he's not selling drugs it'll be Wazza

We've paid a big fee, but if he gets anywhere close to the level his potential shows we'll be quids in. I'd hardly say we're one of your rivals either......

A lot of clubs have made that mistake before.

Possibly, but with our squad we should be able to better last years league position. Certainly no where near the bottom 3.

I'd agree, but I would also argue, better teams have been relegated. I like Southampton though and always hope they do alright, just not as good as us.

If we finish lower than 12th next year, I'll be extremely disappointed.

We've always been underestimated, I'm quite happy for that to continue.

Though I don't think Southampton have anything to worry about next season.

Oh you could well be. 2nd season syndrome. Dont count your chickens as they may well come home to roost. <whistle>

I dont think you will go down but imo you will be bottom 10. Staying up is all that matters for the first 3 years. :emoticon-0103-cool:

You had better prepare yourself for bad news then. ;) Like i said i dont see you going down though.

It could well be a very bad year for the Mackems and Toon. Both clubs just look set up to crash and burn atm.

    ===============

Possible transfer swop shop with Chelsea and Aston Villa being rumoured. Benteke to Chelsea for Ba and cash adjustment ?

I can't see Sunderland or Newcastle going down, I think the league will be very fragmented this year. I expect the three prompted teams to be down there.

That's a no brainer. Promoted teams are almost always down there.
