I'm probably in a small minority on this board, but I can't say that I'm missing football at the moment. Missing the Rs, yes, but football in general - no. Currently enjoying the cricket, after Wimbledon and the Lions in recent weeks and the Open to come next week. Used to find the close season unbearable, but not so now.

Got to agree with you mate. Football is my favourite sport, but its great to have the variation and success that last summer and this one are bringing. I love the summer F1 races too, and we have the Tour de France. All of these sports have problems of their own, but somehow they don"t seem quite as venal and money centred as football, its good to have a break from it. But we'll be back soon, its like heroin, very more-ish.

Have to say I haven't missed the footy that much, I think our abject surrender in the last 10 games pissed me off so much the close season has been quite therapeutic. As you say, the other sporting successes, Lions, Murray, Justin in the US Open and now some real summer weather have done us proud.

Is it too much to hope the Rs can make a flying start as in our last Championship season?...

Not a big cricket fan but have got it on at the moment, really enjoyed the tennis, rugby and golf.

However, I am missing the football and am looking forward to seeing how we get on tonight. I'm also contemplating going to Peterborough on Saturday as I'm going to be in the area, just not sure what sort of team we'll be putting out. Anyone know if the first team will still be in West Country?

I see Sky announced their Premiership Live games today and that always whets the appetite. One other thing I'm looking forward to is watching Match of the Day again, I've hardly been able to bring myself to watch it for the past 2 seasons. It will be nice to actually enjoy the games again without the pain of knowing how they are affecting us. One other thing, those without Sky Sports, I believe you can watch the opening weekend's live games FREE this year?

I admit i look at QPR stuff every day and have done so for what seems forever but it seems flat at the moment as I am convinced for the first tile about our club with Harold there.

Been sick for a few days now and can't get interested in anything ... mind you i have just had my cock removed ... second time this year
