I know its early and the date might change, but just got the day off for this one :).
Me and a couple of mates usually do a bit of a pub crawl from Waterloo to London Bridge before going down to the match, so if anyone on here doesn't fancy travelling down to 'bandit country' on their own and want to join us, they are more than welcome.

Looking forward to it already ;)

How many fans will we take to Millwall? I presume it would be down a lot against other London derbies. I don't think I would be brave enough.

As I said to my suit of armour manufacturer.

Just a little tip, wear a hat. My flyers hat saved me from a coin which would have left me bloody.

Also, the filth will hold you right by the away fans to ensure trouble starts and they get their overtime for future games.

I went there for the midweek 0-2 defeat in our promotion season. It was a last minute decision, I phoned the club thinking there'd be no tickets left, but there was a handful. I tubed it to London bridge and overground thereafter. Didn't realise until we got off the train that the front 2 or 3 carriages were millwall and the rear was QPR. As soon as we set foot on the platform, it kicked off, people were clambering to the front to get involved. I couldn't see much, but the sound of skin on skin was unmistakable. Once you're out of the station, contact can't occur, it's just verbal and missiles, and then you've got the gate shaking and exchange of chairs there over after the game. It's a unique and predictable experience.

Thats the game I went to, I think that gate was only a few seconds from coming down.

If they had any sense, theyd get the away fans out first or hold them a couple of hundred yards up the path but its obvious they wanted the trouble to happen.

Yeah after the game it genuinely was close to having a lot of people hurt. If that fence had gone over inevitably would have beena lot of people who turned and ran and any fallers could have been a stampeded over.

R's fans throwing stuff were mainly kids in their teens. Not sure how many of them would have stood their ground if it did go over.

I agree that the police do want there to be some trouble to cash in on the overtime. If they had kept us in the stand after the game rather than letting us walk around the back of the ground to the fence by the exit within spitting distance were their nutters come out of then there wouldnt have been the missles going backn and forth like they were.

There was nowhere to run to, we were hemmed in, the only way out was up the path which was blocked.

Its not a place for kids, it was people on our side of the fence who were starting stuff, they might not have even been QPR fans. In fact Im pretty sure they werent.

Not sure we're talking about the same thing, I’m talking bout after the match.

When facing the pitch it was the fans to our left that the trouble was with.

So leaving the ground behind our end was a big open space (gated in of course) and around the bend to the right was the fence which was exactly where the rowdy lot who had been to the left of us during the game came out of.

I was near the front (I wanted to be on the first train out of there so I left well before the end of the game). Those leaving the ground, some of which still inside the ground from our end couldn’t see what was happening. If the fence went over people with a view of what was happening ( I would have been one of them) would turn and run back towards the ground.

With people leaving, not able to see and those running back it could have been a crush.

Having said that the coppers had a lot of faith in the metal palisade fencing so they must have been confident that the wobbling fence wouldn’t go over.

I was talking about after the match too, there were fences on 3 sides and the only way was back into the ground which I assume was blocked otherwise people would have gone that way and used the exit on the street.
