As this is my first post I thought I would start with some transfer gossip. I have been in meetings most of the day with foreign visitors & one of my colleagues collected them from the Hallmark Hotel in North Ferriby early this morning. He is stating his life that Peter Odemwingie was picked up from the hotel by someone in a dark coloured Range Rover. Although my colleague is a Dull FC fan he also has a keen interest in the Tigers & is adament that it was Odemwingie after looking at his picture on the net Maybe we are highjacking the move to Palace? If we don't sign him I will make my colleagues life hell!! (At least he didn't see him cycling down Boothferry Road)
Reports seemed he was ever closer on his move to Palace, I can't see that changing now, will be interesting nevertheless.
Don't be silly, if there was anything renotely close to any sort of deal for Odemwingie at palace we'd have seen him snooping around selhurst park on sky sports news already.
I think he'd be a great signing, we don't want palarce to get him, can't think of any better goalscorers for his price
Transfer window car park sightings are the absolute best. It just doesn't get better. Is it true or is it bull? Who cares, we'll have hours of fun trying to decide anyway. Magic.
As my colleague is also a part time Spurs supporter it was definately not Jenas Odemwingie may not be the most popular signing but we need two if not three experienced strikers to keep us in with the big boys If this comes off I hope Bruce has better targets lined up. I am pleased with the signings so far & Bruce has the experience & contacts to not panic at this stage. A goalie, central midfield player & 2/3 forwards are all we need till the january window
Your colleague is a Hull FC supporter, and part time Spurs supporter? I fear his credibility may have diminished somewhat with some people on here (wait till Agron sees this)
I was hesitant in revealing his true loves but I have known him for over 15 years & I have no reason to doubt him Time will tell. This may turn out to be my first & last post ( the shame of giving out duff information!) or I may have started on the forum with a winner I have read the forum for years so, believe me, I know how much bullsh-t is written on here
He has a decent PL-record. 30 goals in 87 games. Last season was not so great with 5 in 25 (but with some substitutions), but still decent.
Virtually all of those appearances were last minute subs, especially after Christmas - as well as having Lukaku and Long scoring goals ahead of him. I would have him in a heartbeat, by the way. I said that from the moment we were first linked.
