Morning all

Feeling more optimistic by the day about the upcoming season. Not because of a 3-1 result against poor opposition, but because of the way Brian Mac is going about things. Sounds like the team were really focused on pass and move last night which is always good, and getting performances out of players like Aidy in new positions can only help. I still think we're short of some quality out wide, but I guess we'll have to wait until after Slovenia to see what happens there.

Oh, and if you are doing the fantasy football again Mighty, I'm definitely in again

Thinking about it I'm kinda glad McDermott has spoken up to say that about the transfer situation. No matter what the reason is for signings not to be made until the side are back, it keeps the window of opportunity temptingly open for players who are trying to find their feet in the side and feel they have a good chance of breaking through. It also makes a nice change to be told these things too given the silence that surrounded seasons gone by.

Seems the bookies think we're currently mid table fodder looking at those odds. I suspect plenty of punters holding off with the bets too (With the side still being brought together and players likely to arrive/depart) so the prices not really being driven far either way by the market.

 

I will be if Tom Ince goes to the prem! Relentlessly having him as my captain is what helped the most last season

14/1 is a reasonable price either way. I think all of us know our season could be wonderful or awful (like all our seasons).

 

Got to agree Mighty i have met worse.

 

Dont think it's any big secret that a substantial investment seems very close now. I'd say that extra week may allow for the finances to become available rather than having to take out a short term mortgage again. Just me guessing though (and hoping)

 

So R.Dunne is out of the reckoning....

 

Richard Dunne could do a job for someone, but not us. It seems yoof, proper footy on the floor, & hard work are what we can look forward to over the next season or three. Yippppppppppppeeeeeeeeedooooooooooooooooo for that. About 'kin time too. Watch the attendances rise at ER as we progress towards at least top 6 this season.
