Morning Dave and everyone from a murky Dunblane but it's going to be another scorcher here, 80'sF.

Now let's finish the Aussie's off and rack up a match winning score.

Morning all, temperature expected to be 30°C this afternoon. Yesterday it reached 36°C. <yikes>

Need to do my jobs now so that I can retire to a darkened room this afternoon. I think this hot dry spell is just to make up for all the rain we had earlier in the year.

    Morning all.
If there is no sun today, I'm afraid it might be my fault.
I decided to dig out the shorts to wear today.
Now look. No sign of the bloody sun <grr> <steam>

Morning all from a cloudy but slowly clearing West West London - need for the cloud cover to stay over Nottingham this morning and produce a bit of swing. Our boy done good yesterday and hopefully he can skittle a few more out early this morning.

Transfer news has gone quiet again!

I see that someone fool has suggested that MP's get a 11% salary increase - yes of course, we are all in this together!

Thanks in advance for the frothy AK

IPSA are the culprits - check out their list of board members and it will be fairly obvious why they are advocating such a rise. <grr>

Was hoping to spend the day in the garden listening to the cricket - but my good lady wife has just reminded me that I promised to take her out for the day - heading off to Inverness & Dornoch.

Exactly BB - IPSA is just full of establishment types who have relied on the patronage of politicians to get where they are and their gongs. If they are intent on having a 11% increase then they should be looking to make the equivalent cuts elsewhere to balance the budget - how about removing their food and bar subsidies?

Obviously, those of you on here that follow cricket will not need to read this, but if there are any of you who are confused by the rules of cricket, then I hope that this will clear it up for you....

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

Be good if we can take a lead of around 70 into the 2nd innings.

Thanks for posting this Maestro, I've always wanted a copy to save me trying to explain it to lesser mortals. I realised a long time ago you either get cricket or you don't.
