Granted he had some decent performances in the Kenny / Roy replacement season, he was also a top man but I am glad he is out of the side to be honest. A pitball? Yes he was good defensively and technically a good cover for Lucas but his ambitious passing costed us vital games and this nerfed the other side to his game in my opinion. Id rather having boring old sidepassing "I can't defend for shet" Allen over him any day. I know my opinion is not popular and I have been chewed out for comments on Spearing before, but I stand by them I personally want to see Yesil come though. After all There must of been some sort of plan behind this signing, its not like our home grown player options in our academy were drying up when he signed.
When he signed last season he played in 2 games right away, but then not again for the whole season. I think Rodgers was possibly hoping he was ready to add to the squad depth but it wasnt so. From his time in Germany he doesnt seem far off of first team level.
Seems s few of our young uns are going to get first team experience on loan this year. Ngoo has agreed to a year at Championship Yeovil And Suso has moved for a year in SPain with La Liga side Almeria. Both players are wasted in the U21s and I look forward to watching them get consistant game time. Think Suso will have a very big year in Spain and will star for his loan side
