............... before a side becomes heavily disrupted and current players are demotivated. Too few and there is little impact too many and it can cause untold harm to a clubs momentum. I think four is about right. What do you think?
It depends on the side and the signings. For us, and assuming they're all likely to start regularly, I'd say 3 or 4 is about right.
I concur, I'm very wary about disrupting the chemistry of the side too much, probably more so than I should be, 3 or 4 for me is the ideal number at this stage, 5 or 6 wouldn't be too bad though as long as a few of those were background players.
If we want a top 8 finish then another CB, cover RB, CM, ST and winger. ST, winger and CM are the priorities.
CB - Lovren, Forren, Yoshida, Fonte, Hooiveld RB - Clyne, Chambers, Cork CM - Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Cork, Davis, Ward-Prowse I think those positions are more than satisfactory now.
So everyone seems to agree on 3 or 4. Given we have signed Lovren and presumably Wanyama (if not now then soon), what other business are we expecting? Striker and/or winger would be priorities for me.
I agree on CM and CB but I'd like to see an experienced full-back brought in to act as back-up to Clyne/Shaw. (On a side note, why do you always rate your threads five stars St Godders?)
Well, I think all the attacking positions (ST, AMC, LW, RW) could be strengthened, but I think that could be done with one or two versatile players.
Oh Strewth.........I am going to be an odd one out then as I think a maximum of three.....I just see it as being disruptive for more, unless of course one of the key players leave.
We have signed more than 3 players summer for as long as I can remember, hasn't done us too much harm recently
