I'm amazed nobody seems to be mentioning Kevin Doyle, just because his team has dropped two levels in two years doesn't mean he has. Haven't looked at his stats and I'm presuming he's not been prolific but always seemed a real handful when I've seen him.

Just checked, seems to blow hot and cold had some very good seasons (close to 1 in 2) but also some pretty poor in goal return. Maybe Brucie and our squad could bring out the best in him!

It was a statement about scrapping. We've all seen it in school or on nights out. I wasn't talking about actually committing GBH or anything. I've been in fights with cage fighters (against my will, I blame steroids/me calling him a **** for shoving a bird) and been beaten to a bloody pulp, I know the effects it can have on people.

There's no need to come across like a patronising school teacher. When I was at school, sorting problems out was done by fighting. It's a bad way of doing things, perhaps it's a question for the sociologists among us; I was tongue in cheek and sarcasm is hard to do on screen.

As for sounding like a proper dick... gee. Look at all the ****s I give.

Hmm. It appears it's not possible to display said lack of ****s. Apparently I'd need a separate internet.

Tommy, I think the phrase "giving somebody a good kick in" can be miss interpreted.

Of course it can (it was actually 'a ****ing good kicking'.) but I'd rather somebody ask me to explain myself than just assume it wasn't sarcasm.

Junya Tanaka. Can play wing, in the hole or upfront. Would only cost 750k to a million tops.

Do a Barca and play with no proper striker. Play him, Boyd and Aluko as a sort of front 3.

You'd be forgiven in thinking we don't play with a striker now.

    Allesandro Ibanez.

Very young Argentinian striker, fast as ****, great shot in him and already looks world class. Maybe get him for 4/5 million.

I think we should look at Simone Jimanez.

I've just made him up, but I bet he's really good.

He sounds good but wheres the You Tube videos to be certain. And we should not procede if his girl friend is not up to par with that of Jermaine Jenas.

CMS isn't prolific enough - Brighton were low scorers much like us.

    Rhodes - price tag?

    Doyle - got my doubts

    Ibanez - no idea

    Tanaka - ???

Ken Jones - very brief impact at Stoke à la Sunderland

Andy Johnson - bit of a Dave Nugent type for me, why not?

    Mboyo - no

    Gang Rape - no

    Deeney - yes

    Cole - yes

Aaron Mclean is very similar to Troy Deeney in how he plays - without the goals that is. Not worth what Watford would wants for him, imo.

IMO, Kevin Doyle's best years are behind him now. Ok he was playing in a dire team that got relegated and did not create many chances. That would different with us. IF and it is a massive IF, Wolves would allow him to leave as a FAT then he would be worth a punt as the cheap option striker. But only that imo.

More to do with cutting sorry slashing the wage bill they have. If they get the £8m outlay covered i can see us getting Rhodes. Rhodes as has been mentioned many times elsewhere may well take a pay cut to play in the PL. ?
