Eatcustard loves a windup. I suspect most people would agree the Arsenal board have money, but no one expects them to actually use it.
Also, didnt the Arsenal board release that statement about their intent to spend big a few days before the season ticket renewal deadline?! Suspect timing. Now the season tickets are sold out, they dont give a ****. The Arsenal board are there to make money, not invest in the club or please the fans. Say what you want about Abramovitch, atleast he invests in the clubs facilities and squad. Maybe it is Wenger, maybe I am wrong and the board are asking him to spend and he is refusing. The simple fact is, they have a great income stream now, and their spending just doesnt reflect that. I think the only thing that may make Arsenal really spend is if they finish outside the top 4 one year. Because as long as they are getting the Champions League £££, they dont seem to care.
