Is that not what Martinez has been hired to do? I dont want them pushing for top 4 (though it does make good tv) but it seems like a silly signing.

N'Goo reminds me a lot of Heskey. I do wonder if our system and style can fit a Heskey style. If he can drop deep, hold the ball and play little passes (like Kone) he could do well.

yeah i guess when heskey was young he was faster and a left sided guy for leicester. n'goo does play similarly now you've opened my eyes to it.

I think its application and intenstiy. Guys wh oare at it for 90mins each game rather than floating along waiting are the guys who make it. I think he's decent....... but.... sinclair and others are growing up and going to push him either up to the firsts or out the door. when i think back to the days there someone like say partridge could hang round unitl age 23 hoping for a chance... well it showed the problem, no fresh blood coming through.

    The pressures are certainly higher.

N'Goo looks like a better goal scorer than Heskey. He has a really powerful shot on him. But Andy Carroll has one of the most powerful shots I have ever seen and that wasnt enough for him.

14.00 BST: West Ham assistant boss Neil McDonald says speculation that the Hammers could move for Liverpool winger Stewart Downing is “paper talk”. He told talkSPORT. "A player of that calibre and West Ham being involved would be great, but it's all paper talk at the moment."

    Of THAT calibre??? <yikes>

13.58 BST: Suarez, again - and Arsenal are ramping up their attempt to sign him, Goal.com says. It reports that Arsene Wenger et al could now offer Liverpool €40.7 million for the striker, who has said he wants to leave Anfield but has yet to submit a transfer request.

    SHOW ME THE MOOOONNNEEEYYYYYYYYYY

12.36 BST: LFC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer is having a medical at Norwich City and could sign a five-year Carrow Road deal, reports in the Netherlands say. The reports suggest Twente have accepted an offer of somewhere between €5 million and €8 million for the Netherlands international, who failed a medical at Everton in January.

We need a CM who is a bit of an enforcer and here one goes for cheap. Ah well.

Cheap, yes, but can he pass a medical? If he can't at the pit, what chance at Melwood?

Ya, have to agree. IF it is prem, it is probably for the highest value that we hold him. Elsewhere you could maybe maybe see him going for a bit less than we expect.

just can't wait til wenger actually gets in front of a press interview preseason and makes a total show of us by saying he never bid, never would bid and we are a joke..... arsenal can;t afford a 30mil player, only city and chelsea are mad enough to bid on this guy... their price is 50mil... real's price is 35-40mil

Great news for Suso. For him to make the next step up he needs game time. Despite having Coutinho and now Luis Alberto, I still have high hopes for him, he tears the U21 league up on a weekly basis, and doesn't look out of place in the young Spanish side. Like all players his age, just needs a bit of faith put in him.

I hope its the right club for him and he does way better than pacheco did on loan. ITs vital it works out cos frankly he's got such a unique talent. focus it the right way and he could play for any side in the world when he reaches his peak.
