I wouldn't consider Geo a forward and anyway, Id honestly say Cole is better. I just want to clarify here that I don't think Cole is good and it's depressing me but I honestly think we've never had anyone better. I'd actually say at present our greatest ever forward is probably Marlon King. Jesus Christ that's made me feel down.
It's a situation that desperately needs addressing, which I'm sure the club are working on 24/7 to bring in the right players. Palace and Cardiff are already ahead of us having strikers that performed well last season. Palace have since signed Gayle and have also been linked with Odemwingie. I think we need 3 incoming as a minimum, farm out Fryatt or Prossie. To give us 4 strikers capable at this level. Clean sheets help, but goals win games!

So now we're naming ****e forwards can I assume the Cole detractors admit that on paper he's up there with our best ever? This all reminds me of when Taylor took over and at his first fans forum someone jokingly asked him to "assure us that we won't be signing Akinbiye, will we?" To which PT replied that "he was a far better striker than we've had for many a year." We were a bottom division club at the time and right now we're a very low-end EPL club, and Cole is about as good as we can expect.
I totally agree about Cole, never thought I'd see the day. City fans saying a full England international, former Chelsea and West Ham player isn't good enough for a team that didn't have one player who scored 10 goals last season. Ludicrous.
