Hull City fans from 1980s

My dad went to see City against Man Utd in 1949 and other big clubs. I had plenty of friends who played football (unfortunately on Saturday afternoons) and hardly ever went to see City. I also knew lots of people who went very rarely. When I lived in Hull I went to lots of matches but when I lived in London I went a lot less most of the time but there's still people who live all over the country who go to practically every match. People do what suits them and I'm sure my views are not relevant and nobody cares anyway.

 

Consider yourself lucky.

There are thousands of males in Hull who can tell you the merits of Barcelona's midfield as against Bayern Munichs but won't set foot inside the KC.

And in previous pre Sky decades there were plenty of other excuses not to go to BP.

Still, it's good that people were there for you when you needed them.

 

But if they don't want to see City in the flesh and prefer to see Barcelona on TV what's wrong with that. I used to go to see City anywhere and it didn't matter how well they were doing. Sometimes I watch Barcelona on TV when they are playing a few miles away from me. I know I'm not a fan of them but I'm sure I would enjoy the match in the flesh but I'm just too lazy.

I just wanna apologise Pete for ruining your thread with my sarcastic post earlier. It didn't mean for it to blow up like this and Agro to act like the tool that I was referring too. We're all city fans and that's the most important thing.

Let me put it another way:

how would you feel if your neighbours watched your house burning down and wouldn't lift a finger.......then you won the lottery , rebuilt it and they made out they'd always been there for you?


People cannot be forced to watch an underperforming **** football team........just as fans cannot be forced to 'welcome' these floating 'football customers' as their equals.
