Well Vetch, its the gift that keeps on giving isn't it? the dopey buggers cant help shooting themselves in the foot with comments like "shelvey? got better in our development squad" ... I can only imagine what will be said if they win a few games and stay up!! "we are your capital club" etc,etc "bigger than barca" the weird thing is about them is that they are the only group of people that ever mention the word "capital" .. Somebody very nicely pointed out on another forum that Chelsea,Arsenal and Spurs never talk about being "capital" to Man utd,man city,everton and liverpool but more to the point hearts and hibs never give it that one to celtic and rangers! so like with many other things with them im at a loss as to see what the **** they keep banging on about sometimes... Delusion is a very fitting word I must say

I guess it's our turn this week as ML is still with you and not walking out. You've started buying players as well which bodes well for you guys. Good to see some on here hoping we cease to exist even though we helped you guys out in the past. I feel for all sensible posters on this site. You have had a week or two of sensible debate until someone wants to cause ill feeling and creates another "joke" thread.
Cardiff fans' constant use of the word Capital merely confirms that they are now a Club of little substance. To make matters worse,they have lost their identity,selling out to a money man from The East. Their inferiority shines through like a beacon,and has become more evident in recent years. As Swansea City's status has risen,theirs has fallen off the scale. We are constantly reminded that they are still the team from the Capital City,and they cling on to this as a drowning sailor clings on to a piece of flotsam. They use the title in an attempt to give them some sense of importance,to garner some kudos. It's a kind of cry for help. "Look at us,you cannot ignore us,we represent the Capital,we demand respect". Respect is earned,however,and very little of that precious commodity ever seems to go in their direction. There are many reasons for that,which are well documented. So basically,when all else fails and they have nothing to shout about,the only thing they can do is to make capital out of being the Capital,and hope that someone is listening.
A few weeks ago they were all over our board in the hope that bad news would come our way, with the possible departure of ML, now as we all though things have moved on with top quality signings, they have all slitthered back to their board. it is inevitable that the few who visit here have to cling to some kind of hope, No matter how slim they are. That at the moment is 'they are the capital'. No doubt at points during the season when we lose a few games they will be back all over us and our board. Let them enjoy while they can. They will soon be back on another page to us.
I and 99% of Jacks agree. Swansea is a small club..which makes our acheivements even more amazing!.. Cardiff is also a small club but for some reason the people that support it think it isn't, so deluded. Red or dead eh ?
If we dont finish between 6th and 10th i divorce the missus, as long as we get a couple more players then looking at the rest of the teams outside the top 6 i can't find one who looks as strong as us... we do need a quality defender and another striker though..
It is nice supporting a small club, One wich finished in the top half of the Premier league, winners of the CO cup and in Europe next year. not bad for a little club. Can somone remind what the club that is bigger than Barcelona has done.

Why? if it makes you all feel better to think we are all obssessed with the big club from the capital, I am happy with that. You have to have something to be happy about, because there isnt much in terms of football ability.

bony to sign within 24 hrs and that will see us top of the also rans, man city,man utd, chelsea arsenal and liverpool and maybe spurs are the only clubs that may finish above us and we will give all of them a run for their money this season i fancy...
Steady on Dai !! I love your confidence but we don't know how half these players will eork out yet..though we can always rely on what we already have I guess. I would be happy with staying up, that's the first priority then see where we end up if it looks good for us. I cant see us having the same impact as last season but ive been saying that for about 6 yrs now!!...
