So Diakate is homesick, even in London with its tens of thousands of Francophone Africans living here. That's ok, I can sit on Mark Spacky Hughes's knee at Stoke instead.

I'd like him to stay and pull his finger out, always had a lot of promise - but I suspect he'll end up in France.

From the little I seen of Wilson, I'd certainly take him on board over Diakate.

Fair comment, mate ............... what do you think about the attitude of both players ?
What if Diakate is a better player but down on attitude but Wilson may prove better from not having issues / clear head, if you know what I mean?

I still think Diakite will be a class act in the not too distant future.

I agree, when we had him on loan he was box to box midfielder. Scored a belter against Arsenal. Needs to get his **** together though!

Harry knows palacios from his days at spurs so he must know what type of character he is. Only concern I have is that the man hasn't played any football in neatly two years

Diakite for Palacios would be a terrible bit of business

Could have legs, his dad said he was joining us in January. Even though hes older, Diakite is offering nothing to us so it may be worth it.

Diakite isn’t offering us anything because Redknapp isn’t letting him. I remember Diakite coming on against Everton away and showing signs of what made him such an exciting signing last season.

We have more than enough centre midfielders and some will need to go. While I’d make an exception for Parker which would be a good signing the remaining centre mids like Diakite, Mbia and Granero we need to decide to sell or keep. No logic when the squad needs rebalancing away from the abundance of centre mid's to trade Diakite for an older centre mid who couldn’t get a game ahead of Dean Whithead

When was the last time he appeared for us? Its pretty obvious hes got mental issues. Theres zero point in keeping a nut case who didnt play under Hughes either.

Middle of April when he came on and played well against Everton. so about 5 games ago.

Redknapp dropped him after he had a shocker against Liverpool when the beat us 3-0 at home. After that decided he didnt fancy him. Had family problems at start of last year which were since resolved. He wasnt in the team because Redkanpp didnt rate him.

Redkanpp picks his favourites and sticks with them. If Diakite isnt one of those and he wants to get rid of him then fair enough as some of the cnetre mids need to go to rebalance the squad but as I said before and still maintain there's no logic in bringing in another centre mid like Palacios

Ok, here's my first ITK, so go steady with me....

Those who have read my posts over the last couple of years will know that I have enjoyed a couple of great days at the Britannia and Uttoxeter races courtesy of a couple of very kind and generous business contacts.

The weekend before last, we met up again for the John Smiths Summer Cup and chewed the fat over Mark Hughes' appointment. One of my contacts was invited to an end of season event and paired up with a player on their table, who was by all accounts very open in giving them a candid insight into the inner workings of the club.

Based on what was said, I can see why it was no surprise to see Tony Pulis depart, however the most interesting bit of feedback was related to Wilson Palacios.

The player host was asked by my contact to name the most skillful player in training and concluded that WP was the technically the best at the club, but had been effectively frozen out by Pulis.

Now it's only one player's opinion; but on the back of this, I'm in favour of any opportunity to swap out a player with a dubious record but loads of potential, for one that has something to prove.

SOLD .............Based purely on this story telling, we should take WP.
I also think you should tell your publisher to go straight to print .............. in hard cover format. ;)
