QPR boss Harry Redknapp expects more players to leave the club as the summer overhaul at Loftus Road continues. Rangers have already shown the door to DJ Campbell, Jay Bothroyd, Djibril Cisse, Radek Cerny and Rob Hulse, while Chris Samba was sold back to Anzhi for £12million. However, Redknapp reckons there will be more on their way in the next couple of months, with Julio Cesar and Jose Bosingwa among those expected to leave. âWe're looking and trying to do some things,â the manager told QPR Player. âWe want to move one or two on as well. âChris Samba we got our money back on, Loic Remy we would get our money back on if we wanted, which we don't want to do. âWe need to change things around. We're looking to shift some on and bring in a few new faces.â QPR have signed defender Danny Simpson, with four or five more expected to follow the former Newcastle full-back to Loftus Road. âIt's quite slow at the moment,â Redknapp added. âThings will warm up soon. âThe Premier League clubs will have to start thinking about their 25-man squads, and if there's two or three left out there might be some loans [available]. âWe're still looking. It's important we bring the right people in.â http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-qpr/2013/07/08/82029-33584125/ So we should be happy that Remy is staying? I heard he wanted to move away and doesn't want to play in he Championship so I don't know what to expect
Not surprised he is staying. We wouldn't get our money back, and unless it's all been sorted, he has a court case hanging over him, so other clubs will be very reluctant to sign him. Just hope he knuckles down and gets on with the job.
He could score 30-40 goals in the Championship if he wanted to and if he stays fit. I also doubt anybody would want to buy a player accused of rape. So its all up to him. If he decide to be the best striker he can be than he'll score for fun
Odd that no-one seems to care we have a potential rapist on our books, but, still, I hope Remy stays too, as with the right attitude he would be outstanding in the Championship.
Oh **** has he been convicted? Innocent until proven guilty mate. The court is there to decide. I think we could terminate his contact if he goes to jail
If he does stay then 16-1 to be the divisions leading marksman would be an absolute steal. As for him being a potential rapist two things spring to mind. 1) innocent until proved guilty 2) innocent isn't a word linked to the "lady's" profession! (that doesn't mean she cant have been raped of course)
If we have any chance to keep him we would be fool to even think about selling him. Im sure he wont be convicted because star players rarely are. He is sure bet for 20-30 goals in championship next season with a proper service from midfield.
I hope HR can get Adel and Remy playing together as, on form, I think that would be an extremely potent combination in the Championship. Remy's goal at West Ham from Adel's pass was total quality, as were most of his goals that I can remember.
Chances are QPR have fixed the rape scam up to keep him Keep him and we have some firepower and he could explode I agree 25 goals plus if he remains hungry in the shop window
I think Remy could do serious damage for us in the Championship - providing he wants to be playing there and has the correct attitude. Because of the bail I can't see any club wanting to sign him except maybe as a loan on a sale or return basis.
He is now damaged goods and he'll know that. Nobody will touch him until these allegations are dealt with one way or the other. He still has aspirations of playing at the highest level and the only way he is going to do that is by firing on all cylinders for us. It's a win-win.
We need to keep him till at least the January window. My thoughts are, with the squad we have and either Johnson or Zamora alongside Remy we could be in a great position by then. We then may have a chance of keeping him. If he is settled in the squad and club and the team is performing the way we all know it can. Why would he want to go anywhere with promotion back to the Premiership looming. We then go back up with a team that is settled and has top performers in, saves any wholesale changes. It's got to be worth a try....
I've got a feeling that Remy is the kind of player that will just want to play. Of course he wants to play in a top league but if he, by no means, can move on and has to play for us then I still think he will put the performances in and enjoy scoring goals. Just a hunch!
Sadly, this is sounding likely, especially since he could have gone there instead of coming to us in the first place.
