17:30 BST: The Daily Express are reporting that Liverpool have submitted a £7million bid for Chievo Verona Under-21 starlet Jorginho. 17:10 BST: According to Guardian-Series.co.uk, Spurs are set to offer £18million to Aston villa for star striker Christian Benteke. His buy-out clause is reportedly £20million, but Spurs are looking to test Villa's resolve.
Ive put this in the Suarez thread too, as in means Bayern may want a striker. Also another Striker Tottenham miss out on. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/08/mario-gomez-bayern-munich-fiorentina
Think they've lost interest in Suarez, Bayern are apparently on the verge of getting Lewandowski. Seems to be almost a like for like transfer for Bayern, except Lewan is better and the rob their closet rivals (again!) Think Real are the only real contenders, if they sell Higuain then they'll be a striker light. And I would hope we would refuse any Prem teams bidding
I just hope it's rubbish. If not BR's clearly losing the plot. He's just wasting money on potentials when we need to be improving the first team. We just bought Alberto - a similar player yet an unnecessary buy when we already have Suso. Now why the **** are we after another 2nd division midfielder. Spurs on other hand are after some quality players. And they've got no CL football either. I'm getting a bit worried with the players we are linked with, none to be really excited about.
Well going by what Klopp has said, they will have to wait a season to get him. Plus I really see Suarez as a Pep Guardiola type player. You are right though, I do ultimately see Suarez going to Real as well. That Arsenal bid, could only have been a ploy to mess with Madrid.
I can see Suarez going to Bayern if they get rid of Robben and another of the attacker. A lot are forgetting that they also have the likes of Kroos, Muller, Shaquiri,Robben,Ribery in those positions that Suarez likes to play. I think Suarez could be the starter as the CF but with Lewandowski coming in a year later would they do that? Would have to get rid of some of those wingers/ss/AM mentioned.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...riker-David-Villa-set-to-join-Atletico-Madrid It was reported that Tottenham were closed to deal
If Spuds do keep hold of Bale, they're going to have a decent team. I would predict top 4 for them next year
Suso and Luis Alberto are different. They play different roles. Suso is an attacking midfielder and a play maker. Luis Alberto is a flexible forward. Luis Alberto replaces Shelvey. Suso play's Coutinho's role. A role we also look like we are looking to strength further with all this talk of Mhki and now Erikson again. But I do feel that Suso over all has not been good enough. He has show flashes of skill and class but has mainly looked nervous. He doesnt seem to want to get physical and does not get in the box. If he wants to succeed at Liverpool he has to fix those things.
That the same news which said Villa was close to signing for Spuds or that Damiao might be on his way? Yah, news is always correct. Don't count your chickens just yet, long time to go til the window closes
Real pulled out because Levy would not talk to them about Bale signing for them,no one else is in for him because they would get the same answer,he's not for sale, even at 80 million!
If someone offered £80m he would be gone. If Man Utd couldn't hold to a better player at that price what chance do Spurs have?
I know he drives a hard bargain but I also know he is a business man. If someone sent a £80m offer his ears would stand up like batfinks!
We don't need to sell,If you want to win trophy's you keep your best players,Paulinho signed for us because Levy told him Bale is staying,Plus he is part of a big Sponsership deal, which would not happen if he had been sold,he will be at Spurs until next summer at least
Sort of agree with the first bit of this, we do need to buy a couple of players who represent proven top level talent and not just potential. However BR buying squad players to develop and add depth and variety at decent value is still good business. This doesn't mean that I'm not excited about who we have signed. Just hope there are more Coutinhos than Sahins in there.
