Please not Sigurdsson! Despite the fact that he rejected us before, he's simply not good enough and we can do better!! Eriksen and Alderweirald would be very good additions to our team and we should be able to get the pair for around £22m ...
I think BR would have gone in for him had we not formed the technical committee. Having them now gives me a lot more confidence in the players we're now signing.
We've had this discussion before, I think BR still has the last word; ie if he doesn't want a player then we don't get them but he needs the approval of others to sign who he does want.
12:14 BST: Bild are reporting that Brazilian free agent Douglas has rejected Hannover's first contract offer ( Douglas for a free would be a good bit of business. Good player and knows what CL is all about). 12:32 BST: Tuttosport have claimed this morning that Milan will look to Palermo's Abel Hernandez if they can't sign Fiorentina's Adem Ljajic. ( Abel Hernandez could be a useful addition and palermo are a bit in the dumps at the moment). 03:07 BST: CSKA Moscow revealed they would be willing to sell prize asset Keisuke Honda should they "receive a reasonable offer". ( can pull the strings if needed, not sure what reasonable is for them).
Yep - I agree with that thought process. Imagine if we didn't have this committee - we probably would have had Williams and Sigurdsson ...
I thought Honda had already moved? He'd be a good addition to the team, was impressed with him in the Confed cup
I thought Honda was all set for Milan but it seems no? I know last year it was the same with Lazio and it fell apart last minute.
I never said that you did say it was me, I meant I'm sure it was a different player's deal with someone that fell through.
What if I told you.... That it was your deal that fell through? Everton have signed Arouna Kone and Fiorentina ( building a serious side now) have bought Mario Gomez. EDIT: Mkhi has signed for Dortmund too.
