Well feel free to take my place as a MOD. FFS people on here complaing when MODS don't take action, and others complaing when MODS do take action.
As far as I am concerned the warning stands. One MOD has had to edit a post, and I have removed another, hence the warning.

You give out punishment as you see fit mate, as far as I'm concerned the mods we have now are the best we've had on here. if you make a judgement call myself and 90% of the other posters will back you all the way<ok>

You are all doing a cracking job and it says everything that there hasn't been a single gripe against you guys for months. A thankless task that you make look easy<ok>

Bap,why not create your own thread, and make it clear that you don't want any time wasters posting their "crap".

Then perhaps you won't feel the need to get so uptight about something of such small significance as a derailed thread.

Gents, can we please go back on topic.

With a bit of luck later today, we can all shake our heads in amazment that we little old Swansea City have smashed our transfer record with Bony arriving. This puts out a clear message, the boards commitment to Laudrup and the fans, that we do mean business this season.

    Let the good times roll!!!!

I can see Bap's point, Vetch. It's a pain in the arse to log into an interesting thread expecting to find news/info/etc only to find another, sorry, YET another, handbag battle taking place. This forum is NOT the place to wage these disputes which should be confined to pms between the protagonists.

For me, the mod system doesn't work; doesn't even get close to working because they are on a hiding to nothing. I much preferred the system on the old 606 where the OP could delete unsuitable posts. We certainly didn't see anything like so much "crap" on there.

My take is simple. With the greatest respect to yourself and all other posters, I really have no interest in wading through all the "crap" to find something of interest.

It takes 3 seconds to click on and 1 second to click off is it really so bad ?...<laugh>

Everyone agrees with the sentiment but moaning about it is derailing the thread just as much is it not?

People that moan about the moaners are just as bad if not worse..<laugh>

It ain't a perfect world I'm sorry to say <ok>

Ah, but it takes longer than 3 seconds to go through arguing to find the 1 post that may shed some light on something the one viewing is looking for ;)

I sympathise with your point of view,Ivor, but many threads go off track, and getting worked up about it seems like a real waste of energy,to me anyway.

It goes with the territory unfortunately.

In an ideal world we simply wouldn't need mods.

I fully agree with you about the delete capabilities on BBC.

Ah,those were the days. Zapping the likes of Profit and Hughs. What unbridled joy.

I also thought that the old 606 delete button was by far the best too, I could manage my own content and threads with ease and keep them from getting too out of control.

    :)

But it was a bit terrible being sent home at 11.30pm every night !! so there are pro's and cons with both <ok>

    As per Vital Football

Quote from Huw in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf:

Its also being reported on Talk sport and Sky Sports that a deal is imminent.

I my opinion our board are purposely stepping up and out of their comfort zone into unknown territories in the transfer market in an effort to support ML. This deal, in my opinion, is in response to the stance ML took earlier this summer when he sided with us over his long standing agent. ML showed great integrity at that time and I feel this has tweaked this reponse of support from our board.

As Terry once said "Ambition is f*ckin critical" and if this deal eventually comes to fruition it will show that both our board and ML share the same ambition for growth and success in the future.
