Now, I have made it perfectly clear all summer (and before that) that if we are going to buy an AM then I want it to be Eriksen, he is my first choice and considering he is about £10m cheaper than the Henri Ryan fella it should be a no brainer (assuming Eriksen would be willing to join us and has no better options). However, If the above highlighted bit is true, I have another reason for hoping it comes true. Although not confirmed by either club or the player, the Henri Ryan deal is strongly rumoured to be off which eliminates him from the trio. Remaining is Eriksen and Hatem Ben Arfa...that's HATEM BEN ARFA!!!! Another thing I have made clear all summer (and before) is that I do not want us to be anywhere near HBA! He is far too injury prone and Newcastle would try to rip the **** out of us (again). I made it very clear that I wouldn't want him as part of a make weight deal for Carroll, I certainly don't want to see us just buy him #hopethatrumourisbollox

If we're selling Spearing then two things need to happen: 1) we need a new DM to challenge Lucas, no one else in the side can play the role and since we employ two attaking FB's in every game, DM is vitally important! and 2) Spearings Mannschaft needs to change his username

I don't agree. real (and Barca) do this every year; link to two or three top players and then either sign one or even none of them. It's a ****er for the club the players are at as it unsettles them but there's no sign of UEFA/FIFA doing anything about it. I said a while ago, I wouldn't be bothered if Suarez goes. We already have his replacement in Coutinho so use the money to improve the whole squad
