Ghilas tweeted that he was back in England, maybe Sunderland are going to rekindle the prolific partnership of Ghilas & Altidore. <whistle>

I think Hull supporters would be better to look at their own crock sh1te they call a team before looking on other boards.

The fact that Altidore did so well in a half decent team speaks more about your clubs own shortcomings than I ever could.

Are there any good casino's in Hull for Bardo?

The heat getting to you mate? <laugh>

I posted earlier on that I thought Altidore was decent at City other than has abysmal finishing and if he's improved that part of his game you could have a player on your hands. <ok>

Not at all bud, how long ago did he play at Hull?

You could not expect his confidence to be brimming over the top playing for the clown of a manager that is Phil Brown or a team in a relegation fight.

Hopefully he will be a bit more resilient and not get in that position next season, but I'm not taking anything for granted.

    2009/10 season.

You can argue a case about Brownie being a clown but if he can't perform in relegation fights then obviously that could be a little worrying for you lot.

I suspect he'll do alright but not score many again(around 4-6 goals), as long as he grafts well for Fletcher it shouldn't be a problem though.

From an outsiders point of view, but I suspect from your end too, you're probably one of, if not the most, difficult to predict with the 'Di Canio' factor and the large influx of new players and mass exodus that seems to be taking place. As for us, it's rather more predictable, we'll be in a scrap, most expect us to go down (they always will) but I think we're recruiting really well and will give it a good go.

It's very difficult to say without knowing what ours and others squads will look like come August 17th/18th, but with us, Palace, Cardiff, Newcastle, you lot, Stoke, Norwich and even Fulham, Southampton and Villa, I really don't think we're the 'right-off' that some people expect. Most of us didn't expect promotion this soon anyway, so I'll just enjoy it and even if we do go down we'll be in a great position to get back up again.

I think that's fair pal, there are 7 or 8 really average teams in the Prem, a good run and anyone can stay up.

Agreed, having said that we still need a classy centre-mid and a decent striker to really give it a good go for me.

Looking at the sides you're probably the closest we get to a 'local rival'. <yikes> <laugh>

AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Alitdore has arrived for a medical at the Academy of Light ahead of his transfer to Sunderland.

The 23-year-old spent time on loan in the Premier League with Hull City back in 2009/10, scoring one goal in 28 appearances.

However, his reputation has blossomed since then and the powerful player registered 31 goals for the Dutch club in all competitions last season.

His arrival is just the latest in a series of acquisitions by manager Paolo Di Canio as he looks to overhaul a squad he inherited from predecessor Martin O'Neill.

The Black Cats unveiled Bosman free signings Valentin Roberge, Cabral and Modibo Diakite last week having also added youngsters Duncan Watmore and David Moberg Karlsson to the mix, and the Italian has a series of other targets in his sights.

However, the striking department is a priority with Scotland international Steven Fletcher having to carry much of the burden last season before injury struck, and Di Canio will hope the American is the man to provide the support.

January signing Danny Graham has unable to date been unable to contribute on the goals front, while Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-won have struggled to make an impression and Stephane Sessegnon's future remains uncertain.
