But then DTLW would be telling us facts;) I think it is Wanyama (see, trying to trick DTLW into an indiscretion....don't tell him).

In all seriousness, I decided to find out what Jim Magilton is up to these days and, by gum, he's still the manager at Ipswich..! :)

Looks like Billy Sharp is getting his move to Reading.

Considering they already have Le Fondre, to all intents and purposes a better version of Sharp, I'm not sure I really understand that.

Putting logistics and requirements etc to one side for a moment, I don't think any Championship side would turn down the chance to sign Sharp.

Yes, with Le Fondre already there, Sharp maybe would be more of a luxury signing than a necessity, but Reading are coming down with PL money in their back pocket, regular parachute payments on their way, and a Russian owners who presumably is happy to dip his hand into his locked to get Reading straight back up - he's already said that it was a mistake that they didn't sign more players in January.

On the basis that I want Reading to come straight back up (and not just because of Nigel, I've had a little soft spot for Reading since the 90s), I'd be very happy to see Sharp go there. I've never failed to hide my love for Sharp.

There's also no doubt that they need to strengthen up front. Noel Hunt and Simon Church have both gone, Jason Roberts spent most of last season injured and that, coupled with his age, must mean that there's a risk that he won't recapture the form that shot them to promotion (I assume he is still with Reading), and Pog I am guessing either has gone, or will go?

Sharp's hardly a replacement for Pogrebnyak though! I guess if they're really short it makes sense, he's hardly the first player I'd look at if I was in their situation though.

I don't know. He's a proven Championship striker, has worked with Adkins before and is probably available relatively cheap. Seems like it would suit everyone.

If I was Sharp, I wouldn't go back to NA. Shipped him out first thing even though he was star of Pre Season?

He'd likely get more game time at another club though, where he is not competing with a similar, but superior, player.

I think we all know that the manager is not the only one who makes these decisions.
