look i dunno.... there is nothing at this point from dortmund... so what its the weekend. It is simply time to shrug our shoulders and just let what happens happens.
Sky Germany apparently stating we've matched Dortmunds bid. Christ it's like a Dawson's Creek romance.....
I don't want to sound pessimistic because there is far too much of that on here lately but, if given a straight choice between Liverpool and Dortmund at present, there is no competition! So, IMO, we need to offer a fantastic package to get our man. This isn't a tactic I am keen on TBH.
Again it's really how important the club sees each possible acquisition. Do we; A) set a definite price on how much we think each target is valued, have various possibilities and shift to the next one if priced out. B) identify players we think we must have and while not bending over be prepared to pay over value to get them? I think we're just not rich enough for option B so have to always have the risk that we don't get the best of the possibilities. So I'll not fall in love with the girl until she puts out so to speak.
Also, Henri Ryan may not be keen on our low basic pay with bonuses approach, especially if Dortmund are prepared to give him what he wants
Yeah, how will he make ends meet on the paltry sum we'd be offering him? (I know what you mean, btw- it's just that footballers' astronomical wages get on my tits.)
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...nich-won-t-lower-asking-price-for-Mario-Gomez €20M for Mario Gomez, yes please God knows why we haven't shown any interest.
Because he's not the sort of player BR wants? Ie, he can only play one position, albeit, very well but one position all the same.
But he provides goals, his record is good enough for the price tag, will show show a real sign of intent too. Goals win you games, pass pass pass miss doesn't.
re mkhitaryan. this guys not said a word, neither has dortmund. Bild is just like the mirror, a lot of lies it seems. the only two things that can be concluded at this point are: 1. shaktar are extremely mouthy and don't tell the truth. 2. mkhitaryan didn't to to preseaosn training. If shaktar are not exaggerating this one and he had forced the move I think we should look to actions not words. after these two points everything else is speculative. i say just wait for the real tory to come out
Alonso to Chelsea rumors swirling again. Not gonna lie, if that did happen, **** that would hurt way way more ( for me) than Torres and Rafa. Alonso is one of my all time favs that has played for LFC and it will just sting to see 3 men who were a big part of our rivalry with that club, go to that club.
Given the chance bet he would prefer to come back to us. But would the club be prepared to pay out that much for a 30+ it would go against their transfer policy. What Liverpool fan wouldn't want to see him back playing for us.
