There's no hindsight on the tactics, most fans could tell we'd been found out. Reid stuck with it though and down we went.
Murray gave us a massive foundation and sitting second in the Prem was not envisaged so any big purchase or huge pay rises could/would have put the club back into tremendous debt that they had only just come out of. Once the Sky money came in Peter Reid was given more adequate funding for players but replacing two wingers and Niall Quinn was beyond him.
