How the **** is it insulting? If I say to a pal 'alright lad', I fail to see how that is an insult. Each to their own like, I really couldn't give 2 ****s, I'll be sure to refer to you as Mr Teesidemakem in future if I need to speak. I find it insulting for people to say that the lads (sorry like) on here are basing opinions on his time at Hull, not that they base it on what they've seen throughout a career.

hi teeeside im sure pp did'nt mean anything by calling you lad, you both seem fine by me, i think if altidore comes and settles in ok he will fit in well cos everybody says he's a hard worker and thats what pdc likes.
Tees mate, fully understand where you're coming from but I think you may be overreacting here. For me the term lad can be a term of endearment just like mate but can also be a bit condescending if used in a certain manner. (Sure that wasn't Pecs intention as he a top poster who always shows respect). All depends which way you read it tbh, but I may be completely wrong.
