Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Gedo is back doing his rehab with #hcafc but there's no offer of a new loan. Club keen to look after him after foot injury in April.
Perhaps Bruce is waiting to see what he can get on the loan market before making a decision on Gedo? As a loan of course...
Well the HDM have stated that they expect either Austin / Hooper, but most likely Austin, to be the striker signing with a supplementary striker from the loan market. A fit Gedo would be a decent back-up. He won't be playing in Egypt anytime soon.
I have a feeling were waiting for him to get fully fit and we'll make a cheeky low offer for him to see if we can get him on the cheap once he can pass a medical.
I think we should take him. Considering how we're struggling to find someone let alone 2 strikers. Him + Austin or someone else would do the trick imo. I really think he is a good striker, he only struggled because the league and weather took its toll.
I like gedo but if we do get then we need another aswel... African nations in January gedo be gone and aluko more then Likely.
Is that what you call extreme? We've been linked with Austin for weeks now, so that tells me that we will probably struggle in general to get someone really decent
Hopefully we will get a forward in soon so he can gel with the team, having said that looking at City last season if i was a premier league scout and i thought to myself have they got a forward good enough for the premier league then apart from Aluko i would have thought no so to me i think we need three strikers so for this reason someone like Gedo or Holt would be decent as long as we brought a couple of others in. to be fair to Matty Fryatt he was injured last season and i hope he is good enough but will a lack of pace let him down, has for Prozzy i would love him to be good enough but to me if you can't boss championship centre backs about then it might be a struggle against premier again lets hope i am wrong. I am sure after watching our strike force last season SB knows what he is doing but i am afraid with our budget he is going to have to use the loan market well.
Didn't this happen with Alex Bruce last Summer? The Club say he's just "training" with us but then he ends up signing on permanently. Maybe it's happening again.. I wouldn't mind having Gedo. More strikers, the better.
In all fairness he joined us when we were starting to struggle. Boy did good considering... He's be a welcome addition for me and is probably much more suited to the Premier League than the Championship anyway...
I would take him for sure. If he can rediscover his form when he first joined us he could well be a surprise package next season.
