Ferdinand wanted by Queens Park Rangers

    05:00 PM 01 June, 2011

Queens Park Rangers Football Club are interested in signing Anton Ferdinand.

The former West Ham United youngster is currently under contract at Sunderland, where he featured in 27 Premier League matches this season.

However, the 26-year-old is down to the final twelve months of his contract, and if Steve Bruce decides to listen to offers for his signature, the defender will seek a return south.

According to The Journal, Ferdinand has emerged as a target for QPR boss Neil Warnock, who is looking to add some top-flight experience to his newly-promoted squad at Loftus Road.

FOR ME LET HIM GO A REASONABLE SQUAD PLAYER

There are a boat load of good frees out there, as Bruce must have seen by now, and we all know his limitations.

Will get nowt for him with just 12 months left. Two or three million tops, personally would keep him as back up.

Ferdinand looked absolutely class at Bolton, and if he could maintain that level of performance he would be the first name on my team sheet.

Haven't had a poll for a while. I suggest something that completely ostracises one member of the board. Bullying passes the time.

As I rememb er newly promoted Clubs have to pay over the odds for players so I say £8 million for Ferdinand. Make that £10 million, Bernie Ecclestone is rolling in the filthy lucre.

Please can we not sell any players until AFTER we get some freebies in.

I completely agree if we can get 5m for Ferdinand and a decent replacement for free/cheap it will be the right move. Sensible business.

However until we get someone in we can't POSSIBLY consider selling any single one of our paper thin squad. Mensah is gone, if we sell Ferdinand then we are left with only Bramble and Turner as senior CBs, which is obviously a ****ing stupid place to be with the injury marred seasons they just had! We'll find ourselves in a panic-buy Kilgallon situation all over again.

Get Dann/Johnson and Tomkins in- then we'll take offers for Ferdinand.

Tompkins would be a great addition if we could prize him away.

Yeah- he'll be cheap since they went down, he's young, improving and looks good at football. We've lost Mensah so we need another CB, and although I'd love Dann or Johnson, they've been linked with bigger clubs... I just hope we get there quick enough, as relegation bargains give us more money for that top-quality striker and winger we all know we need.
