Every Striker target has stalled??

I thought that both clubs agreed on 10.2 million pounds? If they have since told the club they want more money, I don't blame the club for holding out. Either the club agree to sell him to us or we move to the next target, as Huw Jenkins has indicated on SSN.

 

We all know that strikers come at a premium, so can we cut to the chase and get it sorted Jenkins please, this on top of your fallout with Laudrup, is doing no favours to the club!................

 

But we must have offered them what they wanted, else why would Bony have even come for talks.

More likely that they have raised the bar since, and sorry, good on HJ for sticking to his guns.

 

I believe Huw and the board know what they're doing.
I also believe we will land Bony.

So I tell you what Phil, as you clearly believe Jenkins and co. are incompetent in this area, I'll make you a bet....

If we land Bony I get to give you a new name on this forum and if we don't you can give me a new name...anything you want. Do you take the bet?

Well then it could be that vittesse want certain add ons perhaps, i don't know if they have had talks with the play er but it's possible that the package on offer was put to him via his agent, therefore breaking no rules I guess.

Maybe west ham offered more money than us and they wanted us to match it ?

 

By all accounts NJ, WHU matched our bid.

 

It's a three (player/selling club/buying club) way deal , all must agree or it doesn't happen. There are other targets which the club will be working on, it's not just these ones that we are seeing. IMO now that Jenkins has said that we have gone from that player completely , and will sign somebody else.

 

Just been reported that no price was agreed and the Swans have upped the bid to £12m quid !! according to wales online

 

We are also willing to pay a further £1.75 million in add-ons. That would take the deal to £13.75 million. I think that should be enough to land him

It is a fact that both clubs agreed an in principle figure back in January for Bony, but you have to ask the question of why this deal is now dragging it's feet! Surely if Jenkins was the wheeler dealer some on here think he is (Terror.....), then why have we had to stump up more cash? And why have we allowed this deal to go on for so long, that clubs like West Ham and Chelsea are having some entertainment value, in pushing up the price! ............





PS: By the way Jenkins new back in January that Vitesse wanted £16 Million for Bony, but he thought he could drag the price down?? Hence why we have got this stupid farce!..........

 

I've done better than that PGF, been for a swim in Oxwich, and a few beers in the Oxwich bay hotel, sea was warm and like a millpond, bear was chilled and smooth!.................

 

laudrup has about £12 million to spend on a striker i have been told and he will get someone soon. the problem we are having is not getting a striker its getting a striker who will accept our wage policy....we will probably get one in the end with him using us as a stepping stone and a foot in the premiership to a bigger club...Bony might just fit the bill as time goes by and decisions has to be made...
