With the Altidore price mooted around £7/8M, who else is out there who could be an alternative?

Loic Remy - Could be a great partner for Fletcher and I would think QPR would take the £8M they paid for him. The only problem would be his reported £70/80k per week wages and mercenary attitude but he could be tempted to take a cut but I think other clubs will happily meet his demands.

Is the rape charge ongoing? Might be spending some time in the nick. On the plus side, might want to get away from London, QPR and of course the championship.

Remy is a completely different style of Forward to Altidore so don't think he fits what we're looking for.

Mattia Destro at Roma, Lacina Traoré at Anzhi Makhachkala and Jackson Martínez at Porto all tick the boxes.

I've been doing my Research

I have never seen any of them play to judge really, I was thinking we do need some pace around Fletcher too hence the Remy proposal.

I think Altidore is competition for Fletcher so maybe we could go for a quick forward to replace Graham/Ji.

fair do's. The only way i see a two up front is if we play 3 at the back otherwise it's lone striker with the pace coming from the inside forwards. Fletch has no pace either but he manages just fine as a loan striker. I think strength over pace is what we're looking for in a forward and all the players liked back that theory (Guidetti, Lukaku, Altidore) All stronger than they are pacy.

Just reading that he is being offered around the PL with his release clause being £6.8M, which is a decent price.

Nothing about Remy's dispostion attracts me. I think he is a ****ing puke of a bloke and wouldntr touch him with yours mate.

Decent player no doubt but he would ruin any goodwill in the squad overnight.

Joe kinnear has spoke for him so he should get 40 years !, and he will want £300,000 a week wages.
