Its about the team, not who can put the best eleven in their team Fair shout though, put Bale right, Villa left and Leandro in middle: awesome!
There's so much speculation going on at the moment that I don't know what to expect, to be honest. That line-up looks right at the moment, though. If Kaboul returns fully fit and with his form from the campaign before last, then he'd be the perfect partner for Vertonghen, but he missed a whole year, so who knows what he'll be like now? I'd put Assou-Ekotto ahead of Rose too, but the youngster did very well at Sunderland and Villas-Boas often left out the Cameroonian even when he was available, preferring Naughton. On the Suarez to Arsenal speculation, they could use the signing of Higuain as a draw for him, assuming it goes through. Pretty potent pairing, in theory. Can't see them stumping up the cash for both, though. More likely that he'll go to Real, I'd have thought.
Its not attacking players they need though, they've always been alright when it comes to creating and scoring goals. Their defence is shocking and needs recruitments, they also need a DM.
Arsenal? I'd agree, but they were pretty solid at the back in the 2nd half of last season, when they played a series of teams that had nothing to play for. Wenger generally ignores everyone else's opinions and does what he thinks is best, too. They've been making noises about signing marquee players, so maybe they consider that as part of it? If you mean Madrid then what you've said would apply equally to them too, but they don't make sensible signings, especially with Perez in charge.
I was talking about Arsenal I think they could challenge and even win the league this year if they sign three, maybe four players that they should. they won't sign them though and they continue to fight for fourth with you guys, hopefully we can join the party.
With so much upheaval at so many clubs, anything could happen. No more Fergie, no Moyes at Everton, Mancini gone, Mourinho back... Chaos! Seems to be a real push going on at some of clubs that people wouldn't expect, too. Southampton, Swansea and Norwich all seem to have money, for a start. Should be interesting.
Southampton seem to have a ton more, though. Going after Damiao, Banega and Wanyama seems pretty ambitious. £40-50m, maybe? Cortese might be putting some money in.
Being linked and actually buying is two very different things. Maybe put links in the media to encourage others to join? Can't see them getting Damiao or Banega, maybe Wanyama if no one bigger is interested
At this point in the year, very very early. I am going to put tottenham down as my favorites for the top 4. I think their defense is whats importnat but if they do really add villa and diamao they will be very close to the polished article. I'm going to have to be pushed off that position by something a bit special so my beady little eyes will be on our preseason games to see if our two signings going forward are up to it. right now our best singing is mignolet IMO. toure is not exciting me. If we add mkhitaryan we will still have gaps, its like this; last year i predicted no top 4 for spurs cos i felt the lacked forwards. For us I feel our midifeld and defense is not strong enough over a campaign, we have a lot of similar attacking options as well but when sturrdige gets injured i worry about goals going in.
I thought paulinho was confirmed ealier in the week? So if adebayor goes as rumours who else other than villa are you after?
Echo reporting that we're no longer interested in Atsu and instead, we'll put our faith in Ibe and Sterling. Also, LFC are prepared to pay up to 25m for HM but now agent fees are causing another stumbling block.
only one in the office, last day before 2 weeks off, and have a double sausage and egg mcmuffin and 2 hash browns and about to have a good old browse of the last few pages. Better be some good rumours !!!
