Summer 2013 Transfer Rumour Thread - Mk2

Assuming nothing has happened behind the scenes that we don't know about I'd agree. I can understand not taking them on overseas trips etc but the start of pre-season is mainly about fitness and I can't see the harm in them doing fitness training with the rest of the squad. In fact you'd think keeping them fit would be in our interests as it makes them more attractive to other clubs.

 

Exactly, even if its the U21s it's in the clubs benefits to keep them fit. These players are being treated appalingly

 

Yes so appalingly they get over 10k a week for doing **** all. Wish I could be treated "appalingly" like that.

 

It really is common practice for deadwood and players who are clearly not up to the mark to not train with the first team.

But to not train at all? is my point. It's even stated.

 

I don't believe the club would tell the players they weren't allowed to train at all. The LMA would have been all over us.

They've been told they do not feature in our first team plans. That is it.

 

So why are they all sat around doing nothing then? Clearly it's not by choice.

 

And you know this how?

 

I'd like to know how you are aware of their thought processes.

A club cannot really 'ban' a player from training or using the facilities, it's not on and wouldn't be tolerated.

They've probably been told they're not involved in the first team training programme for 2013/14 but are free to do their own training.

Standard procedure.

 

They could have been advised not to show up, rather than told they're not allowed.

Completely fail to see how their salary is of any relevance.

It does if they can't be arsed to train, like DTLW said they can not be banned from training all together. So must have just been told they couldn't train with the first team. From Chaplow's tweets it seems he isn't , so as I said I'd like to be "appallingly" like that.

 

You'd have to pay me 10 grand a week to play golf.

 

This isn't just aimed at you, it's aimed at everyone on here discussing the subject - we don't truly know the circumstances of this. Everything is assumption and guesswork. The only thing that we seemingly can take as fact is that neither have returned to first team training this week. I'm bemused at how such a discussion has arisen, especially with the words 'must' and 'clearly' and 'have', when you consider that we basically know nothing from behind the scenes.

The club might be at fault, the players might be at fault, no-one might be at fault. We don't know.

(Ok, maybe not aimed at everyone. I see that Joe has only said 'could')

 

So why are they moaning about doing nothing on Twitter then?

 

Have a look at the thread I was merely trying to stop the moaners having a go at the club yet again.

Is it upto the Club or for the players pimp to find another club to go out on loan with?
