    Feeling silly now lads?

How things have changed in under a month! Worth a read back to realise how quickly things change in football, how much the media knows ****e and how stupid we all can be at times :D

Said from the start of this that it was speculation and hearsay, I don't read newspapers and I very rarely watch the news. As I said I just manage the BBC/Sky sport pages and that's it . And I take what they say with a pinch of salt

Not really because what I indicated in the op came out in the press a few days later <ok>

I also said that I hoped things could be sorted out and the club can move forward. I could not give the exact details on here but I told dragon on pm , we both heard the same thing and of course the story broke with the swans banning laudrups agent from dealings . <ok>

Good news bad news or no news it's all the same to me. But I have realized that telling people uncomfortable news on here doesn't go down well as people dont seem to be able to handle it. As I said earlier in this thread I shall not post any sensitive stuff anymore I will just let you read it in the papers/media a few days/weeks later,it's no skin off my nose as I talk on pm to those posters who understand the reality a bit better.

The fantastic news is that our club seem to have ridden out the storm, but I'm sure there won't be smooth sailing all the way <cheers>

Ok so we can't face reality here then, thanks for the condescending reply, none of what you said came to pass, laudrup is still here!

I heard the whispers too but that's all it was, it's Chinese whispers a silly little incident getting blown up to something totally disproportionate from reality! Reality ML agent was sticking his nose in HJ put him in his rightful place, and everyone made a massive meal out of it! If our board was in the wrong then ML would have walked, which he didn't!

Sorry NJ, I usually respect everything you say, but can't back you up here. It's not the posting of bad news that p1ssed people off it's the fact that you posted something saying essentially "I know of some bad news, but won't tell you."

I understand if you don't want to get your sources in trouble, and if that's the case then don't post anything at all. People generally respect any news posted, good or bad, so saying that people on here can't handle bad news is wrong....the issue is you didn't actually post any "news" whatsoever....

Not having a go, just trying to put the discussion into context.

Er... I never said he was leaving ! <laugh>

Have a read through it again my friend <ok>

It is true that some on here cannot face anything other than positive news about our club, almost like being objective is something to be frowned upon as it stops people living the happy bubble that they enjoy being in when spending time on the forum.
I like to be realistic,it sticks in peoples craw from time to time but that's ok, people show passion for the club in many different ways, some like to bury their head in the sand and think everything is always great and that the journey will never stop, nothing wrong with that and I don't criticise people for being that way. I will not however buy into things being rosy when they are not.

My thoughts on this subject upset a few of the shiney happy people it seems, people who love the club as much as me and perhaps take bad news as a personal attack on the team they love, truth is that deep down these same people like to make themselves feel better by dimming other peoples candles to make their own burn a bit brighter, I notice a few snide comments creeping in aimed at myself lately and its only because I set out to pass on my thoughts and inform fellow jacks there were some Bad times ahead.Of course just a few days later the whole episode came into the media spot light.

I think what some of the "never have a bad day" people have forgot to mention in all of this is the fact tht maybe the recent signings were made BECAUSE of all the friction that went on !! something that many seem to have conveintly forgotton !!

Its known that when it comes to spending money the Swans arnt the best(for obvious reason really) there were a lot of issues to resolve and STILL to resolve, we still haven't signed that next level player and have secured instead the type of player that was always going to be easier to do anyway spending within our comfort zone .

The plan was to get people in ready for the start of the pre-season tour we have pretty much done tht but without the most important part..the top striker, now there are a whole load of reasons for this and it isn't all down to us,we are 3rd choice for a few of them and they will wait until other options fall through before looking at us but the plan was to get it all done early.

Laudrup stated that deals arnt started in the transfer window but many months before, all the ground work has been done months in advance,as Laudrup said himself he is always looking at the next player, not in June but in the months before.

The falling out with his agent has probably had the desired effect, hence the flurry of deals finalised and finished. We still wait for the big 2 though ,the fact Luke Moore was left out of the tour tells us all that we are desperate for the critical signings the club needs to move forward <ok>

Or maybe the deals where already in place and the whole thing got blown out of context! The transfer window has only officially been open for 4 days now and our targets are very ambitious. I'm not getting worried yet

Cool, once we have our striker I think everyone will feel a bit more optimistic about our new campaign. I for one am feeling optimistic, I see the fact that we have not taken a striker on our pre season tour as there Maybe one coming soon enough

I think next season will be harder for the sole reason we play Europa league football. Other prem teams will be waiting for us having had an extra days rest and that will make it difficult for us. Also blending in many new players may take time (may not) . If we can get some points on the board early on with the difficult fixture list I see us have a decent season once again, of course its clear we need to top notch striker, probaly two , and I would like to see us sign another defender, other than that barring any regulars leaving the squad should cope with the work load .

    <cheers>

Just read through your posts Norway, you didn't tell us anything other than (as Norfolk also pointed out, and which I brought up time and time again with you) "I heard some bad news, but I cant tell yu"

Am sorry, but in the real world, thats not telling us. Wake up mun, your still harping on about being rightm and that you warned us, blah blah blah, you warned us of **** all.

Im not against hearing bad news, IF the person actually tells the bad news.

Look even put it in bold for you, and capitalised it for you to actually take notice this time.

Saying, "I heard some bad news, but I cant tell you as i respect my ketchup" is not telling people anything.

The media got in a frenzy because of Tutumlu sticking his nose in where Huw and Co certainly didn't want it.

I for one am glad the racist idiot has nothing to do with our club, apart from being Laudrups agent

Are you thick or something, what was to tell when the story broke 2 days later? ...<laugh>

    Other details I couldn't devuldge though :)

As I said to you before, bad times ahead ..and there were.

I don't have to justify myself to you, read it not read, pick holes in it or not, all up to you, as I said in my OP I knew I would leave myself open to this type of thing, again that has proved to be true.

Im not on here to be the centre of attention,or cause any friction or jealousy im here because im a Swans fan and when I hear things I sometimes share them to fellow posters on here who I know would always like a bit of info about our team, good news or bad !! your looking at it all cock eyed(not for the first time) and believe the opposite of what I type because its not printed on the club web site! sometimes stuff happens that doesn't get reported 100% and sometimes people hear it BEFORE the media circulate.

When you've followed the club for donkies years sometimes your information tends to go past what is read in the media, and you tend to pick up things more first hand, early and very often not printable!!

I will give you an example, the player who went to Norwich a few seasons back(I forget his name, but came from posh,a defender) a few people were told he was signing for the Swans, everything was pretty much agreed, so the news filtered out, then within a few hours he had changed his mind and signed for Norwich instead of us! now to you, that would have meant I was giving you total bullshit but that wasn't the case at all! he was signing for us,he was driving down to sign here on the dotted line and while driving his agent told him to turn around and drive to Norwich instead as they were paying more money!! so, was the story total bollocks or not ?

was he signing for us? yes.
    Did he sign? no.

You seem to be getting your knickers in a twist over the whole thing for some strange reason, weird....

Most on here know all about me and know me as a sincere poster I have no enemies here ,so im very happy in what I type and the reception it receives from the majority of fellow jacks, if a few whiney girls don't like it when I throw out a gypsies warning or give a few tit bits then that's just tuff **** im afraid ...<laugh>

Good job I didn't tell you what I told others on here in PM , you'd be having a heart attack!! ...<laugh>
