I had a cheeky Google for it and the rumours do seem to support what you're saying. Although I have no idea how they can charge VAT on what is essentially a fee to release someone from a contract. It's not like they are selling us a car. Dodgy Spanish tax accounting abounds...

Nope. Barcelona release shirt numbers in august. they are however selling un numbered Neymar shirts and allowing peple to add the number 11 at extra cost it seems.
