Not if he keeps getting banned <whistle>

Edit - seriously though, if he were to go to Chelsea though then I'd back them for the title, especially with the team they'd have but for me Arsenal don't have enough quality atm to win either the PL or CL, with or without Suarez.

I do not think Chelsea would be daft to have Suarez in their team after biting one of their players.<doh>

This is Chelsea, if it leads to success they'll do it <laugh>

I mean, Rafa slagged off their fans and then Roman went and appointed him interim manager some time later <laugh>

  4. I just dislike the "X won't sign for Y because they're not winning titles/getting top four" argument. The reason clubs by players is to improve, why can't individual help them achieve their target?

We want CL football but we've not had it for what? Four years now? Doesn't mean we can't offer CL football, it just means it will harder.

Yeh but seriously, Real Madrid or Arsenal? Surely with the football and money RM can offer then its a no brainer? Yes Arsenal need to buy to have a chance at winning the PL or CL but RM are already there, they already have the team to win both the CL or La Liga. Suarez has already come to us who are a team wanting to rebuild, will he want to go to another?

RM are too good to turn down, look at Isco, he had offers from RM and City but he come out and said that it was a no brainer, as soon as he found out Madrid were interested, he wanted to sign for them, and sign for them he did.

How many players had left looking for where the grass is greener and failed to win anything. Example was Michael Owen, the year he left Liverpool won the Champion League.
Suarez leaving can be a blessing in disguise.NO WORRIES

Yes he won trophies at Chelsea...but not always the case. We are not sure if he is part of Jose's plan.

  9. I was talking generally rather than about Suarez. I understand why players want to join the likes of Barca, Real, Juve, Bayern, PSG, etc

Yeah, Suarez will go to Arsenal- the British media won't bother him there.

  13. As I said when the rumours about Man City and possibly Chelsea were about, if he joins another English club then we should ask for a lot more money and he will become a hate figure to Liverpool fans much like Torres.

    I blame Rodgers. <ok>

  16. Define 'win'. He collected some medals but I'm not convinced HE won them!

  17. Was it Rodgers that put that stuff there then? Didn't know he was on here <whistle>

Liverpool want Luis Suarez transfer saga settled before the end of the month

Striker set to be ordered to rejoin the squad for pre-season game in either Australia or Thailand if he can't sort a move quickly

Luis Suarez has three weeks to sort out his future.

After that, the controversial striker will be expected to knuckle down and commit himself to the Liverpool cause.

The Uruguay international has been given until Monday July 22 to take a holiday in South America following Confederations Cup duty that only ended last Sunday, before reporting back to the club he has repeatedly said he wants to leave.

No decision has yet been made on precisely where the forward will be told to join his team-mates, but it is almost certain he will be ordered to take part in the Reds' tour of the Far East and Australia.

That could mean Melbourne, and the massive game Liverpool will play on July 24 at the Aussie city's world-famous cricket ground.

Far more likely is the prospect of him returning for the last leg of the tour, when the Reds meet a Thailand XI in Bangkok on July 28.

The situation amounts to a tacit warning to the South American that the time has come to unravel his complicated position and determine just where he will play next season.

So far, NO offer has been received from any club, and there has been no contact at all from Real Madrid, despite persistent reports they want to sign a player who was voted in the top three in the Premier League last season.

Give me a break: Suarez is now on holiday after the Confederations Cup
    Buda Mendes - FIFA

It is all beginning to anger Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who has been forced to endure constant sniping from South America, with Suarez repeatedly suggesting he sees his future elsewhere.

The striker will not want to travel halfway across the world from his Uruguayan holiday, so if he is serious about forcing a move, his return date will at least motivate him to offer more clarity to his situation.

The player has a history of disruption though - he even went on STRIKE as he forced a move to Ajax after he was denied the switch by his first Dutch club, Groningen.

Liverpool's biggest problem would appear to derive from the striker's ban for infamously biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.

He still has six games left to serve on that suspension - and with the Spanish season kicking off slightly later than the Premier League, it makes sense for Real to leave him at Anfield until the end of August so he will miss fewer games for them.

It would also give Real the chance to negotiate right to the wire on the transfer deadline in an attempt to force the £45million asking price down.

Seeing Red: Frustrated Rodgers wants the time to replace Suarez if necessary
    Mike Hewitt

Rodgers wants to sort out the situation before then, as he wants his complete first-team squad in place well in advance of the big kick-off on August 17, and should Suarez leave then he is almost certain to take the plunge on a replacement.

The manager will take a firm line because the player still has three years left on his contract, and Liverpool's take it or leave position is that there are no negotiations on price... and that the player will also have to submit a transfer request.

Keeper Pepe Reina and defender Sebastian Coates have also been given three weeks' leave following their involvement in the Confederations Cup, and both may well also find themselves using that time to sort out moves before the start of the season.

this it quite a load... this hack sat down with the deliberate intent of making this story up.

HAving a report back date this year is NO different that having one last yea or the year before that were suarez was on international duty each time!

yet htis summer holidays now are 3 weeks to sort out his future?

then no deciosn as to where he goes on july 22.. its pretty lcear exactly where everyone will be, in australia but of course this guy wants to make out the guy could be told otherwise.
Then of course the other two also on international leave are also sorting their futures out... how lazy is that!

Maddock is a ****-stirring fraud taking money for making up stories. All three players have been away on Confed Cup duty. But Suarez has to 'sort out his future', whereas Pepe and Seb are just having "..three weeks leave."

Honestly, you couldn't make it up, unless of course, you're working for the Mirror <doh>
