Now don't take this as 100% but some of the weather charts are showing early next week as being VERY hot.

The BBC are forecasting high temperatures up to 28c for London on Sunday but then they forecast 24c for Monday.

Now, looking at some online charts I'm seeing Monday and Tuesday being even hotter (maybe up to mid 30c) and being widespread
    over the UK.

Either I'm reading it wrong or the BBC are under-estimating the impact of this high pressure due.

the BBC last night were saying that the current band of low pressure needs to shift, but there is a big band of high pressure on the way.

July is predicted to be hot

Oh come on, I get this crap all the time off my missus! She has like 3 different Apps on her phone for tracking the weather, and the same bookmarked on her PC. They're NEVER the same. EVER!! She talks to her mother every evening on the phone, and at least 10 mins of these chats is the sodding weather!

Personally I prefer the "look out of the window" approach. That's generally pretty accurate.

Its getting warmer, and its going to be a glorious summer, if you like it hot.

    IMO.

    It's not a 'heatwave', it's called summer.

47 degrees in the US last week is a heatwave.

I'll get the detail wrong no doubt, but the basis of the true story was a lass from Leeds was employed by one of the Caribbean Radio Station as a news reader and read the headline the "Us troops have invaded Grenada" only to pause, while someone was talking into her head set before she corrected it. "U.S. troops have invaded Grenada".

Went up the hospital this morning; grey day and chilly breeze.

Got back to the village: hot sun and beers with mates outside.

    Magic!
