Morning all. Just started a new job and one of my new colleagues is a 'Wall fan. So the Office banter should be very interesting over the season. Quite enjoy having them on here. Pity South London plod & WYP can't find a way to allow those of us on here to have our own areas at ER & the Den so that we can actually have a good natter during each of the games. They manage it when Victimpool play the toffeemen. There's absolutely no segregation at rugby matches. So why can't we have less segregation at footy matches. Maybe if we're all seated together, there would be less aggro. Or is that me living in my ideal world again??

Pre-season & the transfer window is going well so far. Let's hope we can hang onto Byram, Lees, & Ross. We don't yet know how Smith and Hunt will settle down or whether Hall has any future at Leeds. So we need to hold onto what we've got, and possibly bring in one or two more. Not sure if Varney now has much of a future at ER or where Poleon features in all of this. But we're already looking way better off than we were this time last year.

I nearly lost an eye last time I went to Millwall. And that was with two line of stewards maintaining a cordon sanitaire between us and them. But, perhaps they are loveable really :)

    Morning all <ok>

Rosco will have a great season under McDermott playing football. Hunt will make him loads of space as well <ok>

This is the first time in a long time I am feeling confident in the coming season. I thought Warnock was going to be right for us, but hes dross football and poor decisions in the transfer market soon got me doubting him.

Now it feels like we have a proper manager in for the first time since Wilkinson. It just feels right.

Coz we would kick **** out of them :)

Make no mistake theres a massive hatered between the clubs, just good banter on here. I would gladly buy anyone of our Millwall posters on here a pint, but trust me in mass numbers we dont get on.

I was at one of the Millwall tops boys funeral a few years back (he was a close friend) and they sung let em come and a few other wall songs at the funeral, washed down with a hearty we all hate Leeds at the wake. A few knew I was Leeds, but that day was about respect. dont fool yourself though Boggers as a club they dont like us!!

I still reckon warnock was here to ruin the club, just like bates. He hated Leeds United. I'm optimistic at the start of every season, but by christmas that's usually gone. Hopefully it's different this year....morning Bucks...<ale>

On a different note, I'm looking forward to drinking some nice ales in the newly furbished Peacock, although I will miss the sticky carpet...memories...<wah>

Whilst awaiting Mighty's case for the defence, I appreciate the other comments on here. So probably best to keep both fans apart. Pity!!

You've got to remember the Wall fans on here are not typical. Its not that most can't read and write, the ones I have encountered I seriously doubt if they can even talk. At least not beyond "ME... HIT... YOU" and "ME ..... THROW ..... METAL MONEY THING"

But I am keeping an open minded, balanced fair view of them, of course <ok>

    Morning!

Who to buy (still finding it hard to get used to this word in reference to our club!)... hrmmmm. I guess it depends what the pot is like. Also depends on which players out there are suited for McDermotts vision for the club. Some might look great when they have the ball but might be a nightmare to work with or just not buy into BMDs plans.

Several years ago the club I support here in N.I was on it's knees and relegated from the top flight and heavily in debt. Tonight we're playing Rosenborg in Europa League Qualifying for the 2nd year in a row, the season before that we played Fulham.

Like with so much we hear about the Revie era at Leeds (sadly well before I was born) so much of the ressurection of our club here came from backing a manager who shares the same ethic that McDermott is now trying to instil. Which is why for me it's so very pleasing to see as I've seen first hand what benefits that approach can have at a football club.

Therefore in terms of players we sign, a lot of it is about what skills they can bring to the team but a greater say on who comes and goes is down to the players attitude. One bad egg is enough to cause tensions and ruptions that can ruin the whole season's efforts.

If McCormack is up for it and ready to roll, no point selling him unless we have replacements with similar attitudes already lined up. I'd say for morale I'd opt to only sell if the bid was well above valuation (perhaps 4 mil) and from a team playing at a higher level (and by that I don't mean bottom of the EPL which are largely Championship teams paying EPL wages, I mean midtable or higher) - in reality though I don't think this will happen so we should be able to hang on to him :)

In an ideal world I'd like us to trim the midfield and extras in defence, sign 2 more attacking midfielders - another winger and a 'flair' attacking midfielder - especially is Diouf leaves, then sign a goal poaching center forward to add options up front. In defence, I really don't think we need much, so many of our biggest problems last season could be addressed by having a midfield that might show up. If anything, a no nonsense CB who is very strong at heading the ball and has good positioning could be handy as we did look a little weak defending crosses and set pieces.

Very pleased we're signing up our best academy players.

With the Den's finest, they remind me of my cat, they get up to mischief, make plenty of noise and making a bit of a mess, but really it just wouldn't be the same without them around. As long as they're feed now and again, they're harmless and even entertaining at times.

We definitely need another centre half - we only have Lees and Pearce are natural CBs, and Peltier who can play there.

Morning all I am not hopefull of promotion this season but I am hopefull that we can lay some foundations. If we can keep Byram and Lees with the two new younger additions hopefully we are a step nearer. Maybe another youth player breaking through and a strong signing this time next season and things will be pretty exciting

I think we will have a slow start and then come through strongly in second half
