    In seriousness though I don't think Shelvey is as bad as people make him out to be. That England cap threw him into the limelight too much though.

    Shelvey is too slow when on the ball, both physically and mentally, to ever make it at the top level imo

    No, I don't think so. It can be done for international friendlies, but no one on the outside will be able to affect the team selection for a competitive tournament.

    It has happened before though. There is record existing of the Brazilian FA selecting players scattershot with the aim of increasing their transfer value.
