Cov looking to ground share

This article on the BBC says that Cov are talking to league clubs within a 30 mile radius to arrange a ground share:

I think we fall within this, something like 25 miles between the 2 cities.

Here is the disturbing statement if you can't bearsed to click:

"Sky Blues chief executive Tim Fisher revealed earlier this month that the club are in talks with three fellow league clubs, all within a 30-mile radius of Coventry, about a potential groundshare deal, while they press on with plans to build a new stadium in the city."

We might have an infestation on our hands!

 

if you can call 3,000 a major infestation.. just watch all their home games getting moved.

 

I thought they had agreed to go back to the Ricoh?

I hope we tell 'em where to go.

 

They wouldn't be able to afford the rent of a 32k stadium.

 

I'm thinking more likely to be Walsall or MK Dons due to policing concerns ...

 

They can use the donkey park in Syston if they wish, I don´t think Kirklands & Syston st. Peter´s play there any more.

 

They had their AGM for season ticket holders last week around the swimming pool in the apartment in Crete - all 4 of them attended. They confirmed they aint got a ****ing clue where they will be playing next season.

 

Be very funny if it was MK Dons, they've had a good record of pinching other cities' teams.

You should let them ground share with you. You'll get a decent rent, they can still play in a big stadium and you get to make all manner of landlord jokes at their expense.

They could become your feeder club!

 

Distance wise similar to MK Dons but significantly less on capacity ... don't think we were ever going to be a viable option from a 'policing' standpoint

 

Not with the shower of ****e they currently have running round for them!

 

Then again, we never play any of our games on Saturday afternoon so there wouldn't have been that much of an issue with our place.

 

The Board of Directors of The Football League has reluctantly approved an application by Otium Entertainment Group - the Administrator's preferred bidder for Coventry City FC Limited - for Coventry City to play its home matches at Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium for an initial period of three seasons.

So the Northampton B team at least have somewhere to play
