Well reading through this thread it would seem that this rumour has no legs Jordan has potential to be the £20m player that was quoted earlier in the season, therefore to sell him now, when he obviously hasn't fully developed yet, could be a big mistake from a financial point of view. As others have said, he had a great start to the season, but being switched to CM had a negative impact on his form, as did the number of games he had to play. With a bit of luck he will be rotated next season, allowing him time to develop and maintain his fitness levels for the entire season. 2 or 3 more seasons with us, could see him develop into a player worth far more than the reported £12.5m or indeed the £20m that he was valued at earlier this year.
Leazes posted that Enrique was going to Liverpool for £7.4m on the mags board yesterday as a wind up. He's getting boring.
No, this rumour is genuine mate, Google it. I put "Liverpool bid for Jordan Henderson" in the search bar and up came the stories.
So was the crappy Enrique rumour, a bona fide but stupid rumour. Just two silly rumours however I'd take that amount of money for Henderson at this point in time.
I think people have been harsh on Henderson of late. I think we forget he's 20 year old and has played barely 2 seasons at the top level and he was immense at the start of the season! It's just really the last few months where he has looked out of his depth but then you look at the squad and none of them performed during our slump (excluding Bardsley). I think he'll come back in July after the U21's, have a full pre-season and look like the player he can be. For me he's a winger and not a central midfielder but with the emergence of Colback I think Henderson may get more of an opportunity to shine on the wing. We all saw him beat 2 Wigan defenders and whipped in an incredible ball for Gyan's first goal for us at the DW and that's what we need. I say turn down any bids for him, give him at least another season seen as on form Henderson can be a top midfielder.
I can't see hendo getting anywhere near the amount of games next term as what he has done this last one. If Larsson comes in, and a coupe of others, I'm not sure if he would start the same number of matches, but Cest is right, best hold on to decent players so we have a proper squad next season
Hold on, hold on "a genuine rumour", we are discussing a "genuine rumour", glad its not a made up one, gossip or here say then, ffs. this is the funniest thing I have heard since "genuine imitation plastic" was used on Not the Nine O'clock news" LMAO
