Me:- Peterborough - mackail smith going - will struggle to replace him Coventry - been in freefall for years and constantly scrape enough to stay up but cannot keep doing this Blackpool - Charlie Adam going, Dj wil be off
Peterborough- Mackail-Smith struggled last season in the championship and they look like losing him. Even George Boyd struggled so unless they change alot of the team i think they will go down Coventry- They have always just stayed up but with Westwood, King and Gunnasson leaving for a grand total of zero they will struggle to replace them and will be in deep trouble. Derby- They started last season well and was in the play offs near Christmas then just fell apart so same could happen from the start. They have lost Sav Crystal Palace- They just stayed up last season and now have lost James Vaughan who scored alot of goals for them. They will probaly lose their best players and will have to rely on loans Doncaster- They have been punching above their weight for years. It depends if they keep their squad and add a few to it. If they do i think they will be fine Barnsley- Struggle every year and with a change in manager I think they might go down this year Millwall- With Morison probaly leaving they will lack goals and their honeymoon period over they could struggle Brighton- They will need to add some championship quality players or they will struggle as not many have played at this level Thats who i think will be battling relegation next season and i think any of them could go down but which ones i dont know. Its hard to judge in this league
Well for the past few years an ex-premier league team has always been relegated. Could be Coventry this year with their reported financial difficulties and maybe losing some of their key players from last season.
im guessing at Derby, Doncaster and Peterborough, but what oadbyfox says, it wouldn't surprise me if Cov were there, or there abouts too
To be honest, I don't blame you for tipping the Posh, but hopefully we will have learned from our last experience. Looking forward to a trip to the Walkers. Best of luck - you guys should be looking at a minimum of the playoffs.
With Sven and the money anything outside the top 2 will be a failure. Sven has had just over half a season to learn the league, what he has and what he needs to get out of it
Doncaster - How many games did they win in the second half of the season? Not many. Only got away with it because the others were too far adrift already. They are punching above their weight and it's got to end soon. I know they say that they had a lot of injuries but injuries are part of football I'm afraid. Only thing going for them is their manager, who is pretty decent. Peterborough - Don't see any major improvement from 2 seasons ago. Same manager, they will lose Mackail-Smith and I still think they'll leak goals. Coventry - Again, one of those who have been getting away with it for years. Financially they are worse off than ever and there's only so long you can be around the bottom until you run out of luck, as it proved with us. Their manager will have done a great job to get them to midtable. Barnsley - Hill seems a good manager so I'm not too sure....but they always seem to be down there at some point, I rated Robins, as soon as he left I feared for them. Bristol City - Manager has a lot to prove, were involved in a scrap last season for most of it. and the wild card.... Millwall - second season syndrome for them. Have a history of imploding, will probably lose Morison, get poor crowds. Punched way above their weight last season and it will be difficult to sustain it. Palace are usually down there, but their form was consistent for the second half of last season. Get good home form. Lower-midtable Derby have been struggling for a while but although Clough is a twat he's not that crap. Lower-midtable. Brighton will struggle if Poyet is snapped up, otherwise I think they'll be OK. Doncaster, Peterbrough and Coventry to go for me
