Spoken to Dimitar have you? <doh>

But how does that actually weaken our squad? It doesn't, does it? It just stays the same...

Errr, we've done that before. In 03/04 we had Keane, Scholes, Butt, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba, Fletcher and Fortune all of which could play in CM, as well as Danny Pugh, David Jones and Chris Eagles trying to break through from the reserves. And in 04/05 we had the same with Liam Miller replacing Butt. SAF has never been averse to bringing in more players than we need, seeing who makes it and cutting out the dead wood. And given the number of midfielders we currently have that aren't top class or are getting on a bit, it's easy to see the same thing happening next year.

I don't know how you have figured that we will sign 2 mid fielders, to me it makes perfect sense to sign mid fielders only if we clear out a few. There is a squad rule and we need to respect that. I would sell Gibson and buy 1 mid fielder to play next to Anderson, maybe De Rossi and I would have kept Berbatov and got rid of Owen and obviously bought a new keeper in De Gea. However, that won't happen now.

Yes it does. Fergie has already said he will play more games. More time he gets the more time he gets to show just how bad he is nowadays.

And it also stops a replacement coming in who is actually useful.

Because it is impossible to sell any players.

Shame he didnt cut out the deadwood this summer. Infact he actually bought deadwood in a couple of years ago.

If you was the manager of Manchester Utd, I think you would of been relegated. Remember it wasn't long ago since you predicted you would lose every game and Man Utd were going in decline. <laugh>

But that doesn't weaken the squad. The squad remains the same. Fergie is quite good at picking the team so I'm sure he'll play Owen when the time is right.

Yes it stops a replacement coming in, because you obviously can't replace someone who's still there. But we don't need any more forwards do we?

Exactly so we should have released him and bought someone new in, that or give his place to welbeck.

As it goes now we have just wasted a squad place.

    Joy.

Funny thing is that is now that if berbatov leaves as expected owen could well end up as third choice, which would be a fecking disaster.

Owen and Berba should both have been let go. But to keep owen and boot berba is nonsense. Btw before anyone starts, yes I am aware he hasnt left yet, but anyone who thinks berbatov will be kept after being left out of a cl final squad is mad. Fergie was about as subtle as a car crash about his intentions on what will happen with berba.

Except now you have won the league and are looking to improve, the people who were talking about the 'shocking' midfield of Man Utd now won't be listened to.

Our midfeild is still poor. So thats nonsense. When your best options for a cl final are a 37 year old and carrick, then yes, we need changes.

agree with all of that, except i think we shouldve tried to keep berbatov.he and welbeck add an extra dimension to the strikeforce.owen adds nothing.hes an older, worse version of hernandez and him getting more time this season is to the detriment of our team.

we definitely need AT LEAST one new CM,carrick is poor in most games, gibson likewise, anderson inconsistant, giggs ancient and fletcher cant do everything on his own.you cant rely on those 5 to get you through the season, even adding cleverly, who did well enough on loan, but wasnt brilliant by any means.i would love gibson and carrick to be shipped out but ide settle for the former.

Nolhman again with the Hernandez hating. He fails to understand yet again that Hernandez is a goal scorer. <doh>

Yeah i wrote a long post explaining everything that was wrong with that. He ignored most of it and said. "So your happy we're getting weaker?"
