Aye, I should have posted this on the mega hun thread. What was I thinking posting a Celtic/football related story on the Celtic board?
Nope, BBC One Scotland and BBC One NI only - dunno about on Sky but on Virgin I can only get HD for the generic BBC One London last time I checked.
I believe the Follow Follow troop will have the game on their Sky+, so they can send the Republican sing song to UEFA - because you know you shouldn't be singing Irish Republican songs in an Irish Republican stronghold in a city which has an Irish Republican Lord Mayor, in case it upsets some people in Britain.
Surely the lyrical content of the song is more important than the underlying theme? Irish Republican songs aren't banned at the football, only those which have a message which promotes or incites violence/hatred. Seems fair enough to me, why do you think a political agenda and football are a suitable mix?
Your fella who is yo-yoing in the courts sung Boys of the Old Brigade https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boys_of_the_Old_Brigade. It is not inciting violence or hatred and doesn't even reference any third party. I'm not really bothered either way about the actual lyrics or music and have said before that I wouldn't really see myself as Irish Republican anymore, I'm more bothered about a coercive society which says that some political songs (Rule Britannia, Flower of Scotland) are ok - while simply singing a song in support of politics which differ from the mainstream will land you a criminal record.
On council telly its BBC Scotland HD and the news is all regional and in HD so surely the soccerball will be as well?
